Random Acts of Kindness Day feels like a good reminder that postpartum doesn’t need more pressure, plans, or opinions.
Sometimes it just needs softness.
For each other.
And for ourselves.
Sometimes the kindest thing we can do for other mums
is show up gently, without trying to fix anything.
And, importantly being kind to yourself postpartum
often looks invisible from the outside.
But it’s doing the most important work.
If this resonates, save it.
Or send it to a mum who might need it today 🤍

Instagram vs Reality 💁🏼♀️🤯
Instagram thinking…
“Mum goals ✨”
“Smashing her training!”
“How is she back running already?”
“I wish I could get back to it…”
Reality check…
*Very messy bedroom and an unpacked box from our January move 📦
* Forgot to put on deodorant pre run 🙃
* Wore the wrong trainers for the session. My comfy On Monsters were not destined for speed 😅
* Poured with rain, got soaked ☔
* Spent most of the run praying Casper stays asleep for Dad whilst wfh 👶
* Been trying to fit this run in all week… managed it by Thursday
This was not a glamorous run. But it happened. And that’s the win 💪🏼
So if you’re in the messy middle of trying to do something for yourself, I see you.
It’s not always neat, but it still counts 🙌🏼

🍯🌙 Continued (2 months late…!) ~ Sydney with a bias to Manly 🩵
2nd Trimester, which is well and truly over now, wasn’t the textbook ‘easier ride’ for me that I had hoped for.
Some women suffer physically, and luckily my pregnancy has been great from a physical POV and I have been able to keep up my training all the way through (although mostly just running recently for various reasons) 🏃♀️
A series of stressful life events outside of pregnancy, took a toll on me and coping with the emotions whilst being pregnant has been tough.
✨Appreciating the moments of joy in each day, amongst the chaos, and embracing any experience for what it is, even if it isn’t what you expected it to be, is the goal I am trying to work on with a therapist 🙏
Looking through my camera roll and remembering this amazing trip to Sydney during T2 was HUGE moment of joy. Seeing bestest friends on the other side of the world, meeting Baby Arlo, dolphins and lots of exploring 💙🩵
So here is a big Sunday dump of some of those unforgettable precious memories 🥰

22… (plus 11) 3️⃣3️⃣ 🎉🎂🎈
Fun start at Hump Day Hybrid 💪
Pregnancy saved the members today from 33 burpees…iykyk
32 was a whirlwind year! Let’s recap…
Little did I know a car accident days before my 32nd bday and Valencia Mara, would lead to trauma in the coming months but trigger NEEDED growth 💕
Alongside pushing myself towards running goals, scary bouts of debilitating insomnia became an overwhelming experience, leading to serious panic attacks. An alarm bell went off!
It was time to take action 🙌🏼
A life coach as part of my job guided we through so much self development that has not only improved my career and its development, but my relationship with myself. After years of limited self compassion, 32 was where I started to practice it 🩵
Having not done therapy for 15 years, it was time to get back to it. I found an amazing therapist who I’m still working with now, who guided me through insomnia, panic and anxiety.
Running ‘performance’ took a step back once I realised my body wasn’t in the place for it but still completed 1 x Mara and 3 x HMs, one of which was 16 weeks pregnant! Running became FUN 🏃♀️
Some blood tests earlier in the year highlighted it was time to tackle my menstrual cycle. This meant working on nutrition and as a result making a very good friend
We had the serious chat about trying to become parents, and despite anticipated odds (informed by a Dr), we got pregnant straight away and very fortunate for this 🤰
Pregnancy is a rollercoaster of physical feelings, emotions, secrecy initially, change in your body and mind, and the unknown but I feel empowered. Sharing my journey so far has opened new opportunity. I’m so excited to meet baby boy 👶🏼
We finally celebrated our honeymoon in Oz seeing some best friends out there too!
I thought I felt underwhelmed by turning 33, but actually on reflection, the growth I have had the past year has been game changing, and everything I have learnt about myself, I can use to help me be the best mum I can 🩵
Here’s to getting one year older, one year wiser and one extra in the household! 🥳

Serious Monday Blues today landing back in the UK yesterday and struggling with the jetlag 😵💫
But reflecting on this amazing trip for our belated 🍯🌙 and by default, baby moon…
HIGHLIGHT: we immersed ‘Baby Boy’ in the most magical sea hoping he will love it as much as us one day 🩵🐟🐬🐳🌊🐠🏝️
(Sorry for the suspense those waiting 👶🏼..!)
We found out we are having a boy on the plane to Sydney, as we had got the midwife to write in a card for us, and we are over the moon 🌙✈️💙
So many more adventures to come 🌎
PENDING ⏳~ Bigger round up (ofc more photos 😉) on our Oz trip to come, once sorted through the photos, a bit more over the jet lag and back into reality 🤯
Happy Monday 🦋
