Saucha is the practice of purity, not perfection. 🌿
It is a clean body, a clear mind, kind speech, conscious consumption, and simple living.
When we clear away physical and mental clutter, we create space for peace, clarity, and growth.
A clean mind isn’t an empty mind, it’s an unburdened one.
Less clutter. More presence. 🤍

Moving onto Niyamas are the second limb of yoga and offer guidance for how we relate to ourselves. The Yamas we learned about previously invite us to consider what we may need to let go of, while the Niyamas invite us to consider what we can cultivate! 🪷
They are:
• Saucha: purity
• Santosha: contentment
• Tapas: discipline
• Swadhyaya: self-study
• Ishvara Pranidhana: surrender
These teachings aren’t about perfection. They invite us to cultivate greater awareness, balance, and connection in our everyday lives. Over the coming weeks, we’ll explore each Niyama in more depth and look at how these ancient teachings can be applied to modern life.
If you have any questions about the Niyamas, drop them in the comments below and I’ll make sure to answer them in my upcoming videos. 🫶☀️

Aparigraha: the practice of letting go💫… Not just of possessions, but of anger, expectations, old stories, and the need to control everything.
The less tightly we hold on, the lighter we become.🫧

Brahmacharya, the 4th Yama in daily life means self-control, balance, and mindful use of your energy through moderation. 🤍
Moderation means living with discipline and awareness. Controlling desires and avoiding excess (lust, junk, addictions) It’s about mastery, not suppression.
Brahmacharya teaches us how to use our energy consciously rather than impulsively. It’s about becoming your best version, not denying life.
The small daily choices matter:
• waking up with intention
• moving your body
• eating balanced meals
• protecting your peace
• reducing mindless habits
• resting properly
Swipe to reveal your challenge for the week with my morning, day and evening checklist to help you use your energy more consciously! 🪷

Asteya isn’t always obvious. 🤍
It often shows up in the quiet ways we treat our time, energy and attention.
We “steal” in subtle ways all the time…
Overcommitting when we don’t have the capacity.
Comparing until we feel behind.
Staying in spaces that drain us.
Speaking to ourselves without kindness.
Asteya invites you back to trust.
To the belief that there is enough and that you are enough.
💫 Try this today:
Pause before you act or say yes, and ask:
Am I honouring my time and energy?
Is this coming from trust or from lack?
No judgment, just awareness 🌿

SATYA (Truth) isn’t just about not lying, it’s about living in alignment with your authentic self.
💭 Think it
👄 Speak it
🪷 Live it
It means being honest, but also kind because truth without compassion can hurt.
When you practice Satya you build trust, you feel lighter, & you become more real with yourself and others.
Not everything that is true needs to be said… But everything you say should be true.
Be real. Not perfect. 🌿
