On Tuesday, Presdales took part in the District Pentathlon event at Wodson Park. The Year 7 team faced really strong competition and came 4th, however the girls gave 100% effort displaying a committed & positive attitude throughout the day.

Our year 9 team was placed 1st overall for the second year running, just beating Avanti Grange in a very close fought contest. Individual awards also went to Sophia Pettengell who finished 3rd overall and Lottie Stocker who finished 2nd overall.

A huge thank you also to the wonderful Year 9 Sports Leaders. The girls provided invaluable support to Mr Macrae on the day and couldn’t do enough to help.

All the girls represented Presdales brilliantly and showed great spirit and sportsmanship throughout. They are a credit to themselves and to Presdales. Well done to all the girls! 👏 🏃

Huge congratulations to Mia Nelson in Year 10 who has qualified to compete at Nationals this year in the 200m,100m & 50m Backstroke. 🏊🏻‍♀️

Mia competed at a number of high-level competitions during the selection window including Regional Championships where she claimed Silver in the 200m & 100m Backstroke and Bronze in the 50m Backstroke. This huge achievement will see Mia swim amongst some of the fastest swimmers in the country and she goes into the 200m Backstroke event ranked 4th in her age group.

The Swim England Summer Nationals competition take place at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge International 50m pool at the end of this month.

In addition to her competition success, Mia has also been selected for the Swim England National Age Group Development Programme 2025/2026, attending a number of training camps throughout the year where she has benefited from expert coaching and guidance from some of Swim England’s top coaches and athletes.

Well done Mia!! Good luck at Nationals at the end of the month, we can’t wait to hear how you get on!! 🤞🏼😬

🏆Year 8 District Rounders WINNERS!!!🏆
An outstanding team performance tonight playing 6 consecutive matches, winning them all to be crowned District Champions! Huge well done to you all. Brilliant bowling and fielding to stop the opposition scoring! Lily F won every toss and chose to field first which set us up knowing what score we needed. The girls never crumbled under the pressure and batted competently avoiding the fielders! They took risks in the right places putting pressure on their opponents. So proud of you all! More importantly, with a team of 10, each game a different student volunteered to be off! I can’t pick a player of the tournament as you were all amazing!! 🥰⚾️🤩👏🏼

A huge well done to our U14 Athletics Squad who travelled to Jarman Park, Hemel yesterday to compete in the County League Plate Finals! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There were some fantastic performances across the team, with special mentions to Millie, who claimed 1st place in the 1500m, setting a fantastic new PB in the process, and Lily, who delivered a brilliant gold medal winning performance in the 800m. 🥇👏🏻

The whole squad should be incredibly proud of their efforts, finishing 8th on the day and an impressive 16th overall in the county out of 48 schools that entered the competition.

A fantastic afternoon of Rounders against Chauncy for our Year 7 and Year 8 teams!

Our Year 8 team put in an excellent performance to secure a well-deserved victory, demonstrating some brilliant batting, fielding, and communication.
Presdales 9 v Chauncy 5 1/2.

The Year 7 team also gave their all and played with great enthusiasm. Although the result didn’t go their way this time, they showed resilience, supported each other throughout, and gained valuable experience.

Well done to Maisy, Liv and Amelie in Year 9 who recently won the U14 ENG Southern Region Cup with their Hertford Hornets team mates, thanks to an incredible last minute super shot from Maisy!🤩 This success qualified them into the National ENG Cup finals which took place last weekend, where they took on 15 other top teams from across England, and came a credible 9th place.
