What a memorable day for United Sporting Club!

London Sportif batted first and posted a competitive 152/6 in 20 overs.

But our boys showed incredible character, composure and fighting spirit to chase it down, finishing on 154/7 in 19.5 overs!

From the first ball to the final run, it was a true team effort.

United Sporting CC produced an outstanding all-round performance against Youth Wing CC, securing a convincing 93-run victory in a 45-over match.

After winning the toss, United Sporting CC elected to bat first and posted an impressive 408/8 in 45 overs. Youth Wing CC responded with 315/6 in their 45 overs, leaving United Sporting CC as clear winners.

🏏 Top Batting Performances

Sakibur Rahman was the standout performer with a magnificent 118 not out from 70 balls, including 10 fours and 9 sixes, at an exceptional strike rate of 168.57. His outstanding innings earned him Player of the Match honours.

Suhag Ahmed provided another explosive contribution, scoring 89 runs from just 34 balls, with 17 fours and 2 sixes, at a remarkable strike rate of 261.74.

Lukman Ahmed added a valuable 57 runs from 52 balls, while Junaid Ahmed contributed 37 runs from 48 balls.

With the ball, Shohel Ahmed led the attack with an excellent spell of 8 overs, 2 maidens, 28 runs and 1 wicket, finishing with an economy rate of 3.50.

Ali Ashraf claimed 2 wickets from 7 overs, conceding 58 runs, while Shamim Ahmed also took 2 wickets for 45 runs from 7 overs.

Lukman Ahmed completed the bowling highlights with 1 wicket for 40 runs from 7 overs, maintaining an economy rate of 5.71.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, United Sporting CC posted an impressive 321 all out in 43.4 overs, setting Elite CC a challenging target of 322. Redwan Hossain led the batting charge with a magnificent 87 off 57 balls, including 12 fours and 5 sixes, at a remarkable strike rate of 152.63.

He was well supported by Lukman Ahmed (45 off 36), Zeeshan Ali (40 off 31), Md Rasel Ahmed (39 off 43) and Sayem Ahmed (35 off 28), as United Sporting CC built a formidable team total.

The bowling attack then delivered an outstanding performance, dismissing Elite CC Middlesex for just 127 in 18.5 overs. Lukman Ahmed was particularly impressive, taking 3 wickets for only 12 runs in 5 overs, including 2 maidens, while Jewel Ahmed claimed 2 wickets for 33, Rezaul Islam took 2 for 14, and Sayem Ahmed added 1 wicket for just 3 runs.

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Tamil United CC were bowled out for 131 in 30.3 overs. The United Sporting CC bowling attack showed great discipline, with Md Abdul Basit leading the way with 3 wickets for 32 runs, while Lukman Ahmed took 2 wickets for just 2 runs, supported by Junaid Ahmed and Ali Ashraf with 2 wickets each.

Chasing 132 for victory, United Sporting CC reached 132/7 in 31.3 overs. Ali Ashraf provided an explosive start with a brilliant 41 off just 20 balls, including 7 fours, scoring at a remarkable strike rate of 205.00.

The chase was then steadied by Sayem Ahmed, who remained unbeaten on 31 from 40 balls*, and Zeeshan Ali, who finished unbeaten on 28 from 49 balls*. Their crucial 49-run 8th-wicket partnership guided United Sporting CC over the line with 3 wickets in hand.

Earlier, Zeeshan Ali and Ali Ashraf had also put together a valuable 47-run 5th-wicket partnership.
