Friday saw us welcome Content Creators Cricket Club to the Old Saw Mill for a fantastic T20. A huge thank you to them for coming down – a great evening of cricket played in brilliant spirit. 👏🏻 Match highlights on our YouTube channel 🔗 in bio👆🏻

Our Sanderstead side looked the part in our Blades T20 kit, kindly sponsored this season by BDM Facilities Solutions. Brad Rees 💜💚

Afterwards we tucked into a delicious curry catered by local restaurant Chat House - Surrey House. 🍛 If you haven’t been already, we can definitely recommend a visit!

Thanks also to our umpires Simon and Karl – Chairman Simon, proudly modelling one of this year’s SCC T-shirts! 👕 Three designs are available to buy from the clubhouse.

CRICKET WEEK DAY 3 ☀️🏏🍴

Another beautiful evening at the Old Saw Mill, complete with yet another stunning Sanderstead sunset. 🌅

A huge thank you to Maple | Café & Restaurant | Sanderstead for keeping everyone so brilliantly fed last night. The food was absolutely delicious! If you haven’t visited Maple yet, we can highly recommend supporting this fantastic local restaurant. 💚

On the pitch, our young Dev side took on Trinity Mid-Whitgiftians in what proved to be a very tough contest against an extremely strong side. Our youngsters battled hard and kept going, but ultimately the outcome was fairly inevitable. Not quite the competitive Cricket Week game we’d hoped for, but plenty for our young players to take from the experience. 💪🏏

And now onto Day 4!

The 1st XI have officially secured PROMOTION 🎉, the 3s produced a commanding nine-wicket win, and there were some brilliant individual performances across our senior sides.
And that’s before we even get to CRICKET WEEK! 🔥

We’ve already had a fantastic Women’s Inter-Club match, a one-run thriller at the Old Saw Mill and a brilliant 8-wicket win for our Development XI away at South Nutfield.

And we’re only halfway through the week… 👀🏏

🏏 WEEKEND ROUND-UP

Another brilliant weekend of cricket and club life at Sanderstead! 🙌🏻

There were wins for the 1st, 2nd and 4th XIs, while the U21s secured a thrilling 2 wicket victory over Beddington. The 3rd XI battled hard away at Norwood, and there were plenty of standout individual performances across the teams. 👏🏻

Away from the action, we also had a fantastic time celebrating National Cricket Widow Day at the Old Saw Mill! 🥂🏏 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. It was great to see so many players, partners, families, friends and supporters enjoying the celebrations together.

Great cricket, great company and another weekend that shows what SCC is all about! 💛💚
