No trophy was too small for players in the 2nd Tiny Cup Tournament at GTC on Friday! A great afternoon of competition practice for upcoming matches, thanks to everyone who made it such fantastic fun.

🎾☀️ It was lovely to welcome several recently joined members to our American Doubles Tournament last weekend.

With fantastic weather ☀️, great tennis 🎾, and a fun social atmosphere 😊, the event was enjoyed by everyone who took part. It was particularly nice to see new members mixing in and getting involved both on and off the court 🤝.

🎂 A special highlight of the day was celebrating Grace's birthday. Her delicious chocolate birthday cake proved extremely popular and went down very well with everyone!

🏆 Congratulations to our winning quartet:
Oliver, Julianne, Marcelo and Daniel, who played some excellent tennis throughout the afternoon.

🎾🕊️ The fifth Memorial Celebration event, remembering past members, family, and friends, took place at the club last Sunday and proved to be a fantastic day for everyone involved. 💙

👧👦 The day began with a junior event featuring tennis and games, followed by the ever-popular Junior Bake Off competition. 🧁🍰 The standard of baking was exceptional, with some excellent cakes produced by all those who took part. 👏

🏓🎾 This then led into the adult multisport event, which saw 48 participants competing in teams of four across table tennis, pétanque and tennis. The competition was incredibly close, with only four points separating first and fourth place after all events had been completed. 😮

🏆 The excitement continued with a playoff tiebreak between the Blue Team 🔵 and the Green Team 🟢, with the Green Team eventually taking victory and being awarded the Paul Busfield Trophy. 🏅

☕🍰 Tea was enjoyed by all after the adult Bake Off competition winners were announced.

💪❤️ It was an amazing display of teamwork and effort throughout the day.

🙏 A huge thank you goes to everybody who supported the event by donating to the stalls, raffle, and other fundraising activities. 🎟️🎁 Thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved, we have so far raised £3,850 for Cancer Research UK, which is an outstanding achievement. 💖👏

🌍 We had SUCH a great Open Day last Sunday - all thanks to our wonderful members, coaching teams and bar staff!

⭐️We know our Club is special – and it showed! This Open Day was one of our busiest on record with tonnes of activities for everyone, including liveball tennis drills, snooker, and table tennis. Not to mention the yummy BBQ!

🤗 We’re delighted to welcome 38 new members! Huge thanks to Mary and Sue who worked tirelessly to help sign people up.

🥳 Can’t wait to meet our new members on court, at table tennis or snooker – or at one of our upcoming social events!

🤩What a fantastic day we had at our Play Your Way to Wimbledon event!

🌞Blessed with beautiful weather, the club was buzzing with energy as a large number of spectators came along to support the players and enjoy the action.

💯The competition featured a range of categories, including men’s doubles, ladies’ doubles, and boys’ under-14s. Matches were played using the exciting Fast4 scoring system, which kept things moving quickly and created plenty of thrilling, closely contested encounters throughout the day.

🥳Congratulations to our club champions, who will now go on to represent us in the area final!

🤞We wish all our winners the very best of luck in the next stage and hope they progress all the way to the national finals.
