Women’s 2s Promotion!!

A massive congratulations to Camille and her team who secured promotion on Sunday to the Surrey Premier Division by beating Chertsey (yes, you do read the scoreboard correct - they did bowl them out for 35). A big kudos to all 35 players used as it has been a real squad effort throughout the season.

You can come down and support them on Sunday as they look to beat Ashtead and secure the league title on Openview!

Lahore Karahi Restaurant POTW

A big congratulations to Alex Rackow who wins POTW for his 100* of just 67 balls against Cheam. He had 45% of the vote closely followed by Kennedy and Jens both with just over 20% of the vote.

🏏 We are delighted to welcome Oliver “Olly” Birts as our new Managing Director, joining Spencer Cricket Club on or before 1 October 2026.

Olly brings a wealth of experience in cricket leadership and player development, having served as Director of Cricket at Guildford CC. A former professional cricketer and respected figure in London cricket, he is the perfect person to lead Spencer into its next chapter.

We also take this opportunity to thank Jamie Greig, our outgoing MD, for his outstanding contribution to the Club since 2017.

Double Header

I hope you’ve had a sensational start to your week. If not, however, do not fear as not only is it a Bank Holiday, but there is a Women’s doubleheader on Sunday! Spencer Girls Academy U15’s are NATIONAL FINALISTS.

What an incredible achievement by this special team to win their semi-final against a very impressive St Just CC from Cornwall.

Losing the toss and asked to bat, Spencer set about the task superbly to reach 183/5 in their 20 overs. They then backed this up with a strong bowling and fielding display to restrict St Just to 125 / All out. Excellent cricket played by both sides and worthy of a semi-final.

Onto the final, to be played on the main pitch at LORDS!

Mark the 12th September in your diaries, we would love to see a strong Spencer contingent along in support. We will share all details in the coming days.
