A little bit of Portugal 🇵🇹

We’re staying in Olhos de água, right by the beautiful Falésia coastline.

Recommended by a client, friend and now fellow Pilates teacher (you know who you are 😜), and I can definitely see why she loves it here.

I always love hearing where my clients have been and picking up their recommendations, so keep them coming 🙌🏼

I think I need to start a little list of all your recommendations… ✈️

Me and my daughter woke up early for a run this morning but stumbled across the most beautiful walk through the Falesia cliffs. ☀️🌊

A little summer reading 📖

I’ve just sent out my latest newsletter, inspired by A More Exciting Life by Alain de Botton.

It got me thinking about how easy it is to get caught up in the everyday do, do, do and forget to make space for the things that bring us joy, meaning and a little bit of excitement.

I’ve shared a few of my thoughts, some favourite reminders from the book, and a little something new coming in September.

If you’d like to read it, see the newsletter link in my bio 💌

Thank you PolestarPilatesUK and Bavo Wouters for a brilliant weekend of Anatomy training. Two days, lots of learning, and one very full brain 🧠✨

Rather than just learning names of muscles and bones, it was all about understanding how real bodies move, observing movement, developing palpation skills, and applying it all to Pilates and everyday life.

Lots of new tools to bring to my classes and sessions 🔧

My brain is full and happy after my anatomy alive course today. Bavo Wouters managed to make an anatomy course fun and so engaging, not easy!

I learnt so many new things about the body.

One that I found very interesting was about the adductors (inner thigh muscles) and how they do more than just move our legs.

They’re part of the body’s deep front line, a chain of muscles and connective tissue that helps support posture and stability. Stress, trauma, and depression can sometimes be reflected in increased tension or dysfunction in this area, contributing to a more collapsed posture. The body really does tell a story.

And one important reminder, that practicing the Standing on one leg exercise is one of the best things you can keep up as you age.

Balance is one of the biggest predictors of healthy ageing and reducing the risk of falls. It’s why I finish every class with balance work.

Tomorrow we explore common conditions, learn how to spot movement patterns that might indicate something isn’t quite right, and discover how we can use movement to support people with these in the most effective way.

✨ Our wonderful reformer ladies!

These ladies show up each week ready to challenge themselves and prove that getting stronger doesn’t stop as we get older.

Every class is tailored to the people in front of me, helping clients build strength, balance and confidence in a supportive environment.

Why do our clients love our reformer classes?

✔️ Maximum 3 people per class
✔️ Individual attention throughout
✔️ Exercises adapted to suit your body
✔️ A welcoming, friendly atmosphere

Small classes mean you’re never just another face in the room. Every client receives the support and attention they need to move safely and confidently.

And yes, these ladies work hard! 💪💙
