Today is Dia do Capoeirista.
A day to celebrate not just an art, but the people who have kept its traditions, music, values and stories alive across generations.
Capoeira was born from resilience. It grew through community. And today, it continues to bring people together in more than 150 countries around the world.
At Jinga Jinga, we feel incredibly privileged to introduce children to something that is far more than a sport.
They learn to move.
They learn to sing.
They learn to respect.
They learn to work together.
And perhaps most importantly, they discover that every culture has stories worth preserving and values worth carrying forward.
To every mestre, teacher, student and family who helps keep this tradition alive…

Summer has a way of making us feel like we need to fill every day with something.
Another activity.
Another outing.
Another plan.
But after years of working with children, I’ve noticed something.
Some of the most meaningful moments happen when nobody is trying to create them.
A child inventing a game.
Making up a song.
Building a den.
Finding a stick that suddenly becomes a sword.
Children don’t need every minute organised.
They need space to wonder.
To create.
To move.
To be bored sometimes.
Because those ordinary moments often become incredibly valuable 🫶
