When we aren't in a Dragonboat...we can mostly be found in a single crewed O1 canoe..... practicing.

Huge congrats to everyone who raced today! Thames fielding two mixed teams, one women's crew and a men's crew (and with our friends at Windy Pandas, a second men's crew )gave everyone a good amount of racing experience.

Good luck to the GB squad heading to the 16th EDBF European Nations Championships at the iconic Munich-Oberschleißheim Olympic Regatta Centre.

Racing kicks off this week (July 8–12, 2026) with 22 nations competing.

At Thames we are represented in the Premier right through Senior A, B, C, and the BCS (Breast Cancer Survivors) squads — and that makes everyone at the club very proud.

We’ve got through to finals tomorrow!!

A strong opening day for Thames Dragons against competitive teams.

In the 200m Open, we came 2nd overall. We finished in 53.3 seconds, just 2.9 seconds behind the winners, Draveurs (50.4s), and ahead of Hong Kong Rainbow Dragons (54.0s), Dragon Team Valencia (54.6s) and Pink Thunder Downunder (55.1s).

We followed that up with the 500m Open, taking 3rd place with a time of 2:08.8, just 3.0 seconds behind Draveurs (2:05.8) and 1.2 seconds behind Hong Kong Rainbow Dragons (2:07.6), finishing ahead of Pink Thunder Downunder (2:12.0).
