Looking back at the València Gay Games 2026 opening ceremony 🏳️‍🌈🇪🇸🥋

Swapped the mats for the park this afternoon ☀️🌳

Following last night's Closing Ceremony, València Gay Games 2026 has officially ended. With 4 days of competitions and workshops, 25 club members competing (plus many more who came to support 🫶), and over 40(!) medals between us, it's safe to say this was a real success for Ishigaki. But those numbers don't capture the friendships (and other connections 👀) forged, the personal successes, the cultural exchanges, the sweat and tears shed, or the litres of Agua de Valencia consumed.

Our thanks to the IAGLMA team, FFG volunteers, our fellow participating martial arts clubs, those who led seminars, judged, took scores, those who showed up simply to support us in that infernal velodrome, and everyone who helped make this the unforgettable experience that it was. 

See you all in 2027 for the Eurogames in Cardiff!
