On-the-Spot Practice is the ability to recognise what is needed in the present moment and respond with clarity and intention. Rather than applying the same approach every time, it encourages an intelligent and adaptable practice, using the principles of yoga to support balance, awareness, and transformation based on what is arising within us.

In The Chakra System in Practice, On-the-Spot Practice is explored through both theory and practical application. The training introduces a range of diagnostic tools and practices, integrating asana, breathwork, meditation, and chakra-based principles to develop the ability to create practices that respond to individual needs in the moment.

As September approaches, routines begin to return and life starts to pick up again. Before everything gets busy, take some time to pause, settle and reconnect.

Yin invites us into longer-held postures, stillness and breath, creating space to explore the quieter layers of sensation — the fascia and connective tissues, and the subtle pathways of the meridians.

A two-hour practice to soften, release and reconnect with the body, with time to notice what lies beneath the surface.

You’ll be seeing more of Dania on the timetable this August and September, with more opportunities to practise with her across Power Hour and Strength & Mobility.

Dania is trained in Vinyasa and Rocket Yoga, with advanced training in meditation, inversions and Ashtanga Yoga. Her classes are known for creative sequencing and a playful approach, bringing together strength, mobility, inversions and mindful movement, and encouraging students to explore with confidence, curiosity and joy.

💫We’re looking forward to having more of Dania in the studio over the coming weeks.💫

Learn to become your own first line of defense.

Whether you are a professional athlete, weekend warrior, fitness enthusiast, or simply beginning your journey toward a more active life, your body is constantly adapting to how you move, train, sit, work and live.

Over time, misuse, underuse, overuse and repetitive strain can create restriction, compensation, reduced mobility and pain—and potentially increase your risk of injury.

Fascia therapy gives you practical tools to recognise these patterns and address them early, rather than waiting for a ni**le to become a serious problem.

It can also help you work with the lingering effects of previous injuries, where changes in fascial tissue and scar tissue may contribute to stiffness, restriction and altered movement.

In this workshop, Deborah will teach you how to map your body, understand the connections behind your aches and pains, and develop practical self-care skills that you can use for life.

The most powerful form of self-care is understanding your own body.

What can happen when we give the breath our full attention?

Alan Dolan is back at Indaba on Sunday 6 September for an afternoon of conscious, connected breathwork.

Working with the breath can shift us out of habitual patterns, release held tension and create a deeper sense of space, clarity and connection.

Alan’s approach is practical, experiential and rooted in the understanding that the breath is one of the most powerful tools we have for exploring ourselves.

Join us for three hours of guided breathwork, exploration and deep practice.

This August, join Ingrid Viana Ingrid V F for a selection of Pilates, Vinyasa, Meditation, Morning Flow and Power Hour classes at Indaba.

With yoga as part of her life since the age of 13, Ingrid brings extensive training across Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Rocket Yoga and Classical Mat Pilates to her teaching. Her classes combine mindful movement, breath and creative flow to build strength, presence and connection.

Summer may mean a few of our regular teachers are taking some well-earned time away, but the practice continues — with great teachers and plenty of reasons to keep coming to the mat.

✨ Come and find your class with Ingrid this August and September ✨

Kundalini is often described as the dormant potential that resides within each of us. Rather than something to be “awakened” through force, it is traditionally approached with patience, awareness, and steady practice. As the body, breath, and mind become more integrated, this innate potential can begin to move more freely, supporting greater vitality, clarity, and inner transformation.

In The Chakra System in Practice, Kundalini is explored through both theory and practice. The training introduces a range of Kundalini practices and techniques, integrating movement, breathwork, meditation, and chakra-based principles to cultivate greater awareness, vitality, and inner balance.

Our yoga practice should be a space where we cultivate the capacity for Stillness. To be more present in our lives, and we should have our yoga practice on the mat impact how we live our lives – not the other way round.
