A very warm welcome to Imperial College Lion Dance Society. This is a cultural society where we promote the culture of the Lion Dance. There are 2 types of lion dance - Northern and Southern - we perform the Northern-style dance. Our two lions can perform great stunts to complement the dance. Our team just had our very first session for the autumn 2016 academic term last Saturday! Warmest of welcomes to our fellow freshers who attended our taster session 😀 Hope you guys enjoyed our fun practice session and have officially become a “lion” and roaring with us!! As for the returning seniors, thank you sooo much for showing your support and sharing your experiences with the freshers 😀 Hope everyone enjoyed the practice (and of course, the free breakfast :D ) Let’s roar and shine together!!

A great big shout-out to everyone who has made the dim sum session at the Golden Phoenix Restaurant a great success especially to our sponsor, Mr. Ho and family, the super seniors, and last but not least the ex-committee members. The dim sum session was held as a token of appreciation for all of the hard work and commitment you guys have put in for this society throughout the year. Not only have you guys managed to fulfil Yew Sian’s (Captain 2015/16) goal of having every member to perform for 2 performances at least, most of you exceeded the number without even breaking a sweat. Once again, the current committee members would also like to express our gratitude towards the ex-committee members for their contributions towards the society and the members alike, motivating and inspiring us to do our best as well as keeping our stomachs full with breakfast every session, and we hope that we are able to continue their legacy into the future.
