One of my students said to me recently, ā€˜It must be great being a yoga teacher - you don’t get stressed.’

It made me smile because the truth is… I do.

I have worries. I get overwhelmed running my own business. I experience stress and, at times, anxiety too.

The difference isn’t that my life is stress-free. The difference is that I’ve learned how to pause before I spiral.

Yoga has given me tools that help me come back to myself - breathwork, movement, mindfulness and moments of stillness. They help me regulate my nervous system and find my way back to calm.

That didn’t happen overnight. It’s taken years of practice, and it’s something I still return to every single day.

For me, that’s what yoga is really about. Not becoming someone who never feels stressed, but learning how to find balance again when life gets messy.

So no, I’m not always zen.

I just know how to return there.

And that’s exactly what I love sharing with my students.

Three months ago, this student walked into my beginners class feeling unsure of himself.

He was dealing with a few health challenges, his body felt restricted, his movements were uncoordinated, and he quietly stayed at the back of the room.

But he kept coming.

Week after week, he showed up. He practised. He trusted the process, even when progress felt slow.

This week, he did something that simply wouldn’t have been possible a few months ago.

He joined one of my more advanced classes.

He worked hard to keep up, moved with so much more freedom, and finished class with the biggest smile on his face. The pride he felt in that moment was incredible to see.

This is why I love teaching.

Progress isn’t about becoming perfect. It’s about doing things today that you couldn’t do yesterday. Small, consistent steps really do add up.

If you’ve been thinking about starting yoga but don’t feel ready, let this be your reminder - you don’t have to be. You just have to begin.

DM me if you’d like to find the right class for you.

Something really special happened this week.

For the first time ever, I sold out one of my overseas retreats without advertising it and it’s in 18 months time!

Every single place was filled by people who came on this year’s Ibiza retreat, along with a handful of lovely people who’d already joined the waitlist.

I honestly had one of those moments where I just stopped and smiled.

It reminded me that what I’ve built isn’t just about yoga classes or retreats. It’s about community. People who feel connected, who want to come back, and who tell their friends because they’ve genuinely loved the experience.

As a small business owner, moments like this mean the world. They remind me why I’ve spent the last 20+ years doing what I do.

To everyone who has trusted me with their wellbeing, joined a class, come on a retreat, recommended me to a friend or simply supported my little business - thank you.

I never take it for granted, and I feel incredibly lucky to have this community.

Here’s to the next adventure together.

Together, we raised £855 for Cancer Research UK.

For the 9th year running, our Yoga in the Park charity class brought our community together to move, connect and give back.

This year’s event raised an incredible Ā£855. Thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and supported the day - whether you were on the mat or cheering us on from afar.

That means, together, we’ve now raised over Ā£13,000 for charity since I opened the studio.

I’m so proud of this wonderful community. Thank you for showing that when we come together, we can make a real difference. Here’s to many more years of moving with purpose and giving back.

Every one of these testimonials represents someone who decided to begin…

Not because they were flexible…
Not because they felt confident…
Not because they had it all figured out…

They simply took that first step.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching people become stronger, move with greater ease, feel calmer and reconnect with a version of themselves they’d almost forgotten was there.

I’m so grateful to every single student who has trusted me to be part of their journey. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives, for showing up for yourselves and for taking the time to share such kind words. They mean more than you know šŸ’•

If you’re waiting until you feel fitter, less busy or more confident, this is your reminder that you don’t have to be ā€˜ready’. You just have to begin.

A year from now, your story could be inspiring someone else to take that first step.

When you’re ready, I’ll be here to welcome you šŸ’œ
