With the help of the National Lottery Good Causes, Sport England funds projects and organisations that help more people get active and make sport and physical activity available to everyone.
Tommy Frank Boxing Academy is one of the organisations that has received funding to support the delivery of non-contact boxing fitness classes across local communities in Sheffield.
As part of the project, Sport England’s funding has also enabled the launch of specialist non-contact boxing sessions for people living with Parkinson’s. Boxing based exercises that focus on balance, coordination, movement and reaction have been shown to help manage many of the symptoms associated with Parkinson’s, while also providing a supportive environment where participants can stay active and connected.

Tumble Twist and Turn (TTT) are a gymnastics club based in St Helens, set up in 2020.
An increasing member base came a strain on coaches, which presented challenges when looking to recruit, due to the high demand for coaches and fitness instructors in their local area. TTT started developing volunteers internally to overcome this and ensure their offer could continue.
One of their core values is the holistic culture they’ve built around their coaching. Coaches look to support people to the fullest, rather than be solely gymnastics-focussed.

Sport England has been supporting the next phase of Digital Futures, which continues to evolve through sector-wide research, operator engagement and collaborative design activity.
Led by Ukactive, in partnership with Sport England, and supported by sector stakeholders, the programme helps organisations strengthen digital capability through benchmarking, strategic guidance and enhanced maturity assessments.
The AI assistant has been developed through research-led activities designed to explore how personalised digital guidance can support operator decision-making in practice, not replace it.

Loughtonians Hockey Club old pitches have also been donated to venues in Tanzania and Guyana, where it will become the first synthetic hockey pitch available to local communities.
It's a legacy that spans continents, supporting both elite performance and greater access to sport for future generations.
