A fantastic day at our annual Women’s Beginners’ Summer Event, with this year’s star-themed dress-up bringing plenty of sparkle to the course! ✨

Shout out to Bush Hill Park member Lee Robinson, who has completed a 64-day, solo around Great Britain journey on a stand-up jet ski - the first person to achieve a mainland circumnavigation of Great Britain via this watercraft type!

The journey was started and completed at Tower Bridge raising funds for The Multiple Sclerosis Society and Alzheimer’s Society.

A spot in the Guinness Book of World Records may be afoot!

A special moment as Peter Wafford presents the Peter Wafford Trophy to this year’s winners, Chigwell Golf Club.

The trophy was established following Peter’s remarkable achievement of making two holes-in-one during the same round while playing for the Rangers against Chigwell Golf Club back in 2010. Following this incredible feat, Peter was made an Honorary Life Member of Chigwell and donated the trophy to mark the occasion.

The trophy has since been contested between Bush Hill Park and Chigwell over home and away matches, with the aggregate winner taking the honours.

Congratulations to Chigwell on this year’s win, and thank you to Peter for creating and continuing this fantastic tradition between our two clubs. 🏆⛳

The Bush Telegraph traces its origins to February 1986, when the then Club Secretary launched a bi-monthly newsletter to keep members informed of club news and activities. After more than two decades as simply “the newsletter,” its 80th issue evolved into the Bush Telegraph in April 2007.

Today it is a quarterly magazine produced in-house. Life Member and co-founder of the Bush Telegraph, Peter Smith produced every edition through to the 153rd issue, finally hanging up his hat in in May 2026 - in his 90th year, after decades of dedicated service.

Edition 154 published this week, marks a new era for the Bush Telegraph, introducing a new magazine-style look.
