Great work from our first time maker
What a beautiful hand crafted and saddle stitched Bag 🧡👋🙌
Moulding Veg tanned Leather.
Soak the leather, gently ease the leather around a former. Let it dry overnight. Voila!!!
Can barely believe it was 6 years ago I had the pleasure of a workshop visit from Jenny Eclair and Judith Holder from the award winning podcast
The last pic popped up on their insta recently and thankfully Judith found her cardholder she made at the workshop🤘
Vegetable tanned Leather…. with lots of use will develop its own unique patina and darken in colour tone just like leather used to do.
A saying I use quite often at the workshop is chrome leathers wear out, but veg tanned leathers wear in, and that’s exactly what Judith’s veg tanned leather cardholder has done, and great to see.

Always great to have returning Makers, and bringing back their first leather make at the Workshop.
The 3rd pics onwards go back to the start of 2026 with the first bag workshop of the year, and lovely work from our first time maker who came back this time with her husband on Saturday to both make leather belts, see previous post. 🙌👋👍
Keep on eye out for the next post showing a 6 year gap!!!
Belt making👋👋 and great to have a returning maker who chose a vintage brass swage buckle from a retired heavy horse headcollar. Along side a Buffalo leather belt with solid brass buckle. Great work
