London 3 Day opens women’s endurance competition to under-21 riders!
The London 3 Day is inviting female cyclists aged under 21 to apply for a unique opportunity to compete alongside an experienced elite rider in this year’s women’s endurance team competition.
The initiative is designed to give the next generation of female cyclists the chance to experience high-level endurance racing, learn from an established rider and compete in the UK’s most prestigious track cycling event.
Selected riders will be paired with an experienced elite cyclist, creating a team that combines youthful ambition with racing experience. The partnership will provide an opportunity to learn first-hand about endurance racing, preparation, tactics, teamwork and the demands of competing over multiple days in front of a massive crowd in an iconic venue.
The London 3 Day is renowned for its fast, exhilarating racing and loud enthusiastic crowds. For an aspiring young cyclist, competing alongside an experienced elite rider offers an opportunity to gain invaluable racing experience in a supportive team environment.
London 3 day founder Tony Gibb said;
“We want to give young women an opportunity that is very difficult to find elsewhere — the chance to race alongside someone who has already competed at an elite level and learn from them throughout the event. We hope this will inspire more young women to see endurance cycling as something they can aspire to at the highest level.”
The London 3 Day hopes the initiative will become an important part of its commitment to developing the next generation of endurance cyclists and encouraging more young women into competitive cycling.
Applications are now open. Under 21 female riders interested in taking part are encouraged to apply through the London 3 Day online application form, link below ⬇️ . The organisation will cover accommodation, meals and travelling expenses.
