𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀!

England's thrilling win over Mexico wasn't the only sporting triumph of the weekend - OPRFC win the St Benedict's School Cricket Tournament for the first time!

Batting first in the final against Old Priroian Cricket Club, a masterful 106 not out from Jared Braddock helped guide the XI to victory and secure silverware just in time for rugby preseason's start.

Bodes well, eh? Congratulations!

𝗦𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁'𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

This Sunday sees the annual St Benedict's School Cricket Tournament take place at St Benedict's Playing Field - and you'll have you first chance to see OPRFC in action!

Yes, they may be trading the oval ball for the round, red leather one but there's silverware on the line as they take on the School XI at 11am, with a place in the final the prize.

Get down to Perivale on the 5th and see some of our boys in action before they trade the spikes for studs...

Jack Dever still sits top of the tree, but Maynard Ahukanna and Guy Djedje both join the 200 club, now extended to three members.

Andrew Wilkie remains three games away from a double century, while Seb Oddi moves up one appearance to 188.

David Howe is a new addition into the top 10, overtaking the likes of James Booth, Will Clarke & Charlie Stringer to head into sixth in the list.

Adam McCulloch shores up the top ten with 151, with Mark Machado now just one behind...will we see some new names on the board soon?

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬

A record breaking season for the Twisters by a number of metrics :

- 856 points is the most they have ever scored in a regular league season in the entire history of the club, going back nearly 20 years

- They finished on 85 points in Regional 2 Thames, eight more than their previous highest total at level 6 of 77

- A third placed finish in the league represents the highest ever position attained in the league pyramid

A vintage season by all accounts, and we're looking forward to more of the same come September!

Will Taylor heads the 1st XV top scorers for 2025/26!

A very good season for Will, who showed a great degree of consistency, especially with the boot, also contributing five tries to the OPs cause across the season.

He's now on 641 points since the start of 2021/22, will he reach a thousand before the decade is out?

Cathal Sheehan ends 2025/26 as the top try scorer with a remarkable eighteen tries in 23 games - the most by a forward in one season according to our recorded data.

He's also only the second forward to have topped the try scoring charts after Carlos Gomez-Rose in 2022/23.

Not bad Cathal, not bad.
