Forecast: 100% chance of football.
Since forming in 2014, has offered a slice of home for Argentinian amateur footballers based in London.
Initially setup as a-kick-about amongst ex-pats, the club has formed into a diverse, multi-team outfit that focuses as much on its community impact off the pitch, as it does with successes on it.
Once a year, their network comes together for a 5-a-side fundraiser in the heart of Hackney. Affectionately known as El Charity Tournament, the action is friendly but fiercely contested, with men’s and women’s tournaments playing-out across three pitches.
A celebration of Argentinian culture runs alongside the football, with native drinks, latin sounds and the best Empanadas you’ll find in England being enjoyed on the sidelines.
Toddlers in Messi shirts, players embracing mid-game, spectators draped in flags. With all proceeds being donated to charitable causes back home, the event is a beautiful example of the grassroots game done right.
We were honoured to attend Saturday’s latest edition. It certainly won’t be our last.

We spent our Saturday tucking into steak sarnies on the sidelines of El Charity Tournament, with our new mates .
The annual summer fundraiser is a celebration of football, culture, and all things Argentina. We loved getting amongst this amazing group of people, supporting communities both at home and away, through the power of proper grassroots football.

A football isn’t just passed across a pitch.
Sometimes it’s passed through generations.
From dads, grandfathers, or father figures.
From muddy parks to packed cup finals.
From one kick to a lifetime of love for the game.
And for those no longer with us, their chants still echo in every touch, tackle and goal.
This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the people who got us into the game.
In 2024, we partnered with to celebrate the communities that make Liverpool what it is — creating an immense sense of belonging, pride and community across the city.
It feels very fitting to be looking back on that special day and reflecting on what it means to be crowned a world champion on home soil.
With a busy summer schedule, won’t be taking place this year. We can’t wait to see the grassroots tournament return in 2027, bigger and better than ever.
