This weekend in the UK it was summer solstice, a time when we have the longest period of daylight.
Many cultures recognise this time with celebrations and festivals focused on growth, balance and vitality. As a coach I find desire to change and achieve can be high and we might meet this with an increased pace but also frustration and overwhelm. Why not use this mid-point of the year to reflect, take stock and decide how to approach the second part of the year...
Here are some coaching questions to help you:
✨ What has changed since the new year?
✨ What has been working well?
✨ What lesson taught you the most so far?
✨ What might you be ready to let go of?
✨ What boundary do you need to set?
✨ What could you do this week to make the next 6 months more successful or easier?
If you'd like to explore any of these questions further, work towards a successful second half of the year or need help with getting unstuck please reach out via this platform for a free no-obligation chat 💬

Sticking with Men's Health Week today to share some statistics.
I usually love some stats (the psychologist or old A'level maths student in me perhaps) but the stats around male health are quite frightening!
✨ 1 in 8 men have a common mental health disorder,
✨ 4 of 5 suicides are men
✨ 1 in 5 men die before the age of 65
✨ men are less likely than women to visit a GP or report early symptoms
Please take some action this week for yourself or for the man you love.
I can offer a safe, independent, confidential space to explore how to take proactive steps for improved mental and physical health.
To find out more just message me via this paltform 💬
If coaching isn't your thing but you'd like to exlore further then consider checking out the Mates In Mind Hub, the Men's Health Forum or reaching out to the Samaritans (116 123).

This week in the UK it is Men's Health Week; leading up to Father's Day on Sunday.
The focus is on breaking down the stigma surrounding male physical and mental health and encouraging men to to take small proactive steps.
It can be really difficult to take such steps when your focus might be entirely on work and family and when you you perhaps don't even know where to start!
Talking to an independent, confidential, professional can:
✨ help you to identify where you are & where you want to be heading
✨ help you clarify and make proactive next steps
✨ provide a safe space for your needs.
To find out more message me via this platform 💬 I offer a free, no-obligation chat to anyone who's interested in coaching for themselves or for a loved one.

Last week I asked for reviews as part of small business week.
Thank you to those of you who sent them through, it means the world and I feel honoured that I was able to help. I shall be sharing them over the next few months.
Today I'm sharing one about menopause coaching where I helped someone who was stuck feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to approach her Dr. After just one session she left feeling confident and prepared plus got the result she wanted at her next appointment - woop woop 🏆️
If you're stuck come see me for a chat.

There is a wild poppy field near me that I drove past every day last week. I made the time one day to stop and it’s stunningly beautiful. It genuinely took my breath away. But I couldn’t understand how it was there this year and I'd never seen it before. Turns out poppy seeds can lie dormant in the dark earth for years before suddenly blooming. Often, it's the soil being disturbed that creates the conditions for growth.
Maybe it's similar to life; we all have goals and dreams lying dormant beneath the surface and often see change or disruption as something to resist, when it might actually be creating the conditions for something new to emerge!1! What if the disruption is the beginning...
Here's some coaching Qs to get you thinking:
✨ What potential within you is waiting to bloom?
✨ What change or disruption in your life could actually be creating the conditions for growth?
✨ What might become possible if you embraced this rather than resisted it?
Almost sorry to write this coz it’s so corny, but like those poppies, you might be closer to blooming than you realise 🌹

Are you taking part in Small Business Week 1-7 June?
Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities, and this week is all about encouraging more people to shop small, buy local and support independent businesses. In fact I'm sat in a local farm shop cafe writing this :0)
I'd love your support this week: Book with me, recommend me, share this post or tell someone about what I do...
It ALL helps.
In case you, or someone you know, is interested coaching is more affordable than you think - Life MOTs start from as little as £40 and Coaching is £72 per hour.
Thank you!

Coaching Concepts - What's the difference between coaching and counselling / therapy
I've had a few people ask this recently so thought I'd share the answer...
Both help people improve their lives but generally:
Coaching is future focused and helps people move forward, achieve goals, build confidence, improve performance or make positive change. A coach works in partnership with the client, using models, asking questions & reflecting back to find answers and a way forward.
Counselling / Therapy usually focuses on the past, healing emotional wounds and trauma to address dysfunction, mental illness or deep emotional pain. The therapist is seen as the expert providing guidance and clinical tools based upon psychoanalysis and clinical evaluation.
If someone comes to me for coaching and I think they need counselling/therapy I will refer them on.
When you're healed, coming for coaching is an amazing way to find your way forward in your new world.
Please reach out if you'd like to talk about this any further 💬

Last week was Mental Health Week and social media was flooded with people sharing their stories about the importance of looking after our mental health and tips from people about how to maintain or improve your mental health.
✨ Did it help you?
✨ What changes have you made that resulted in a difference to you?
Sometimes a post is all you need but more often than not you need more; you need something that's bespoke to you, that will really help you because it fits your lifestyle and individual circumstances, personality etc.
Coaching can really make a difference; it can help you explore, gain insights, become unstuck and find the best way forward for you. It is not counselling or therapy but it is very freeing, entirely confidential and gives you private space to explore so that you can get to where you want to be. It is also probably more affordable than you think.
If you'd like to have a chat about whether coaching is the right thing for you just reach out on this platform 💬 or email [email protected].
