This week while teaching, I noticed one student appeared to have circulation challenges in her hands, which inspired me to create this little series: Desk Yoga for Hands đ
It only takes 5 minutes and is brilliant for boosting circulation, relieving stiffness, and resetting one of our greatest assets, our hands, which we so often neglect in everyday life.
Perfect for desk workers, drivers, phone users, artists, gardeners, sailors, writersâŚreally anyone who uses their hands all day, which I feel applies to all of us!

Supporting children with stress & anxiety through yoga
Children today are navigating a lot, and stress can often show up in ways they donât yet have the words for. Through gentle movement, breath, and moments of stillness, yoga offers them a simple way to slow down and reconnect.
From my experience working with young people, from primary school through to college, Iâve seen how powerful it can be to create a calm, supportive space where they can just be.
Yoga helps children build awareness, regulate emotions, and develop tools they can carry with them beyond the mat learning that even in overwhelming moments, they can pause, breathe, and find a sense of calm within themselves.
Sometimes, it starts with just one breath.

Life isnât supposed to go down easy.
We think somethingâs wrong when things feel hard
when plans change
when we feel stretched
when nothing flows
But maybe that is the point.
Growth doesnât come from the easy bits
it comes from the moments that test you
the ones you didnât choose
the ones youâd rather avoid
Not just âgetting through itâ
but learning, slowly, to work with it
To see that what feels like friction
might actually be shaping you
Not everything is enjoyable
not everything makes sense
But it can still be useful
Your challenges arenât just costs
theyâre part of who youâre becoming đ¤

I'm looking wonderful people who understand that healing comes in the lived moments... not just on the yoga mat or meditation cushion to join us in Le**os at the end of May for our yoga retreat
We head to the island on May 31st 2026.
Late spring is one of the most magical times to be on Le**os. The island is green and warm, wildflowers blanket the craggy hillsides, and the air feels alive with possibility. You can walk through breathtaking landscapes, swim in secluded coves, soak in the islandâs natural hot healing springs, or simply rest and take in the panoramic sea views from your room.
A retreat for everyone
You do not need to be âgood at yogaâ to come. This retreat is carefully designed to welcome all levels and all bodies, from complete beginners to teachers in training.

Release & Rooting
A few months ago, a student had a big breakthrough while I was teaching at a Ruth White Yoga Weekend at Hawkwood Education Centre. This student was honest, emotional, brave. We stepped outside to breathe and reset, and found ourselves beside this incredible redwood as the sun dropped behind the hills.
It reminded us:
⢠Feel your feet and let go of whatâs weighing you down
⢠Stand steady in who youâre becoming
⢠Root yourself in what matters and keep growing up and out
âWhen we feel the ground beneath us, we remember we already belong.â
I spend so much time guiding the practice that I sometimes forget to notice the shifts in me and in the people in front of me. Then a moment like this comes along and makes it clear:
The shoulders drop.
The breath evens out.
We get our feet back under us.
Steadiness returns.
Yoga keeps teaching me how to live. To pay attention. To stay open. To trust that progress is happening even when we canât see it yet.

Friday Morning Walk - Peace
Some days, the universe gives you a quiet sign to pause, a dove above, the river beside you, and a moment of calm lifted from the week.
This morning, I slowed my steps and lifted my gaze to that beautiful dove, a symbol of peace and hope. A gentle reminder that even when life feels full and fast, hope is always close⌠often just one breath away.
đď¸ Inhale peace. Exhale anything that weighs heavy.
Let your heart make space for hope today.
Happy Friday â¨

Thursday Morning Reset âđ§ââď¸
Coffee first⌠always.
And then, a moment to dive into the magic of science behind what we feel on the mat.
I love that yoga isnât just ancient wisdom, itâs anatomy, physiology, breath, alignment, and the nervous system working together to lift us up, calm us down, and bring us home to ourselves.
Every stretch has a story.
Every breath has a purpose.
Every practice is a little dose of medicine.
Hereâs to learning, moving, evolving - one mindful morning at a time. đ

Wednesday Wisdom
This morning, the river taught me something quietly powerfulâŚ
Worry doesnât change the tide.
It doesnât speed the sunrise.
It canât stop whatâs meant to unfold.
And yet, we spend so much precious energy caught in the âwhat ifsâ and âmaybes.â
What if, just for today, we gave ourselves permission to stop wrestling with the future?
To soften the shoulders that carry too much.
To breathe into life as it is
To trust that life is unfolding with beauty in everything, only if we pause
Because worry is the most unproductive busywork of all.
And peace arrives the moment weâre brave enough to let go.
Inhale: I am here.
Exhale: This moment is enough.
