Ever thought you’re not flexible enough, or maybe TOO flexi (shout out to my fellow hypermobile folks) for Yoga?

This month I invite the fantastic Grace Bowering onto the pod to chat about what Yoga actually IS and what forms of Yoga we actually CAN do - no headstands or splits even mentioned!

I coach plenty of humans with hyper mobility, and once my clients have learned their end ranges, increased the proprioception and confidence required, I love to bring Yoga back in if it was previously part of their practice. But if you’ve been told not to go to Yoga, how do you reintroduce it?

And whether you’re hyper mobile or not, on this episode we talk about the origins and benefits of Yoga and how you can introduce a Yoga practice into your life without stretching yourself too far. (Literally)

My wonderful guest grace | yoga facilitator is a yoga practitioner and facilitator who is passionate about yoga’s many doorways.

She teaches an embodied, explorative approach to movement with an emphasis on how we use props for support, challenge and rest. She weaves in philosophical teachings to encourage the contemplative side of yoga, keeping it from being a body based practice alone. She believes yoga to be a practice that cultivates body & breath awareness, kindness, community, introspection and connection.

Now I’m more confidently out of the woods I’m slowly gaining confidence in sharing not only my personal journey with chronic fatigue syndrome, but the evolution in my coaching too.

I say this all the time, I’m not interested in short term physical transformations, I’m only invested in true life changing transformations that impact the way my clients live positively, in all directions, for the long term.

I’ll share more about my experience overtime.
But for now here’s a little bit about what got me to where I am today…

If you’ve suffered from chronic fatigue, pain or stress drop a ❤️ in the comments

We’re all grown ups here, and I believe we all deserve a good dollop of honesty.

It’s not about scaring anyone, but simply sharing the facts about biology and how entropy impacts us all after 30.

It’s actually very empowering because we each have a driving seat, but it’s up to us which direction we choose to go in 📍

Last week I did a poll on my stories, and it turns out quite a few of you aren’t clear on the difference, so I hope this helps break it down clearly?

Let me know if it’s helpful and do share with a friend. Knowledge is power after all 🫡

I am hyped to announce that I have my first podcast guest!

I have been a fan of Dr Miguel Toribio-Mateas’ work since we first met in 2018, and I’m so excited for you to listen to this slightly longer episode where we discuss burnout, chronic fatigue, ‘funky’ brains, coping strategies, science, nutrition, movement and the importance of a pause.
Oofff it’s a big one!

Dr Miguel Toribio-Mateas is a clinical neuroscientist, nutrition researcher and author of ADHD Body & Mind. His work brings together neuroscience, nutrition, gut-brain health and lived neurodivergent experience to help people understand their bodies and minds with more clarity, compassion and practical support.

I hope you enjoy listening. I’ll be dropping episodes monthly so click FOLLOW on Spotify to get notified when a new episode goes live!
