Presenting our final blue belt for 2026 - finn.e.r.s! One of the hardest workers in the room, came back from a really bad accident and outdid ALL of our expectations. What a great kid. Congratulations!

Surprise early birthday celebration for Lα Fυrια today! I don't usually do this but 50 seems like a big milestone. Thank you so much to everyone for making it so much better than whatever celebration I'd had in mind, especially .aj and for ordering such a nice cake, and for organising such an impressive looking card!

I'm sure the introvert in him quietly died inside many times over today, but thank you all for loving and appreciating him and all the work that he does, and for celebrating together with us ♥︎

A little heads up.

will be running a weekly women's gi BJJ class starting 5 September 2026. It will be on Saturdays, from 12.10-1.10pm, mixed levels. Beginners welcome, visitors welcome (drop-ins £20 per session). First session free.

Congratulations to everyone who got promoted this year!

A few special bits about this year's promotions:
- it was time for the ✨heavies✨ to shine - the big boys got their blue belts together!
- father-son promotion - everybody's favourite story. boy wants to learn jiu jitsu, father goes with him because he's too young to join the adults on his own. they train together, progress together, get promoted together 💙
- couple promotion! also a fun story. girl gets dragged very unwillingly to jiu jitsu very early on in a relationship (the absolute gall of kevin btw, respect). quite a long white belt journey full of ups and downs but blue belt on the same day 💙 we love to see it!
- 3 women promoted in the same grading - this is the most we've ever had!

Obviously everyone's journey is special in its own way, and very rarely does someone have a linear path from one belt to another. So once again, a big well done to all! And the work continues 💪🏼

What a team!! So grateful to everyone who made the effort to come today, especially our students who don't even live in London anymore 🥲 Tibi who surprised us flying in from Romania 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼, Ben coming down from Bristol, Hannah coming from Leeds (Evaris only made it for pints and bantz but that's fine too HAHA) We appreciate you all!!

It was a small grading this year, with no higher belts, but solid quality as always. Looking forward to seeing you all grow into your new belts. Proud of everyone for the work you've put in and for all that you've achieved.
