If a session is fully booked, don’t worry! Walk-in spaces will be released throughout the day once pre-booked customers have arrived and we’ve completed our live headcount. Entry is always subject to available capacity.

Please note that Wellhub and ClassPass users are treated as walk-in admissions, so access via these platforms is also subject to available capacity on arrival.

Today is set to be another 33°C day, and we’re expecting the lido to be extremely busy. If you’re planning to visit, please book in advance where possible and remember to stay hydrated, wear plenty of suncream and take regular breaks from the heat.

🛟 An important safety message

A timely reminder that our lifeguards are there for one reason: your safety.

Please follow all instructions from our lifeguards at all times. Whether it’s responding to a whistle, being asked to move to a different area of the pool, or supervising children more closely, every instruction is given to help keep everyone safe.

If you’re not a confident swimmer, please:
🏊 Read the pool signage before entering the water.
❓ Ask a member of the team if you’re unsure which areas of the pool are suitable for you.
🛟 Stay within your ability and never be afraid to ask for advice—we’re here to help.

📢 1 week in, an update from us 💙

⚠️ It’s a long one, but there’s lots of useful information, so please take a moment to read!

Firstly, thank you🙏 Our first week operating as Active Lambeth has been incredibly busy, and we’d like to thank everyone for their patience, kindness and understanding while we’ve been getting to grips with brand-new systems and processes.

Here are a few key pieces of information:

🏊 Swimming Sessions
Our swimming schedule remains the same, including the 12:15-13:00 closure period where the pool and poolside must be cleared to allow our team to prepare the site for the next session.

📱 Swimming Bookings
General swimming and lane swimming can be booked:
• 7 days in advance for Active Lambeth members.
• 5 days in advance for non-members.

🎟️ Concessionary Tickets
Concession discounts are available, however they can currently only be purchased as walk-in tickets. We’re working on bringing concessionary online bookings to the new system as soon as possible.

🤝 Wellhub, ClassPass & Hussle Users
If you’re visiting via Wellhub, ClassPass or Hussle, you’ll need an Active Lambeth account before you arrive. Please also note that entry via these platforms is subject to walk-in capacity, as all admissions must be managed within our live headcount.

⏳ Queues & Waiting Times
We’re doing everything we can to keep queues moving while we learn our new systems. Please bear with our team—they’re working incredibly hard, and every day we’re becoming quicker and more efficient.

🏋️ Gym Refurbishment
The refurbishment is progressing well! While we don’t yet have a confirmed reopening date, we’ll share updates as soon as we do. In the meantime, members can continue to use any other Active Lambeth fitness facility as part of their membership.

💪 Group Exercise Classes
We’re pleased to confirm that our group exercise programme will return this Saturday. Classes will run from Studios 1 and 2, with access via poolside through Studio 3 while refurbishment works continue. Please allow a little extra time when arriving for your class.

Your continued support means a huge amount to all of us, and we’re excited for what’s still to come.

🐜🌊 A quick note on flying ant season… 🌊🐜

As many of our regular swimmers will know, we’re approaching that time of year when flying ants decide to make a guest appearance across London.

As an outdoor pool surrounded by trees and parkland, it’s inevitable that we’ll see a few more insects around than our indoor pool counterparts.

Rest assured, our team is continuously netting the pool throughout the day and doing everything we can to keep the water clear and enjoyable for everyone.

The occasional flying ant may beat us to it, but that’s all part of the charm of outdoor swimming and a reminder that you’re swimming in the heart of Brockwell Park, not inside a leisure centre! 🌳🏊‍♀️

🏋️ Gym & Group Exercise Update
The gym remains closed while refurbishment works continue. Unfortunately, group exercise classes remain suspended and will resume on the 11th July, when we’ll be welcoming you back with brand-new fitness equipment.

In the meantime, Active Lambeth members can continue to use any other Active Lambeth fitness facility across the borough as part of their membership until services at Brockwell Lido resume.

The end of the first day 💙💛

We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited today. We were overwhelmed by the kind words, thoughtful gifts and support from so many of our regular members. Your encouragement meant a lot to our team during what has been a significant day of change.

As we begin this new chapter, we’d just like to ask for a little patience. Although many of the faces you’ll see around the lido are the same, today was essentially our entire team’s first day in a new role, learning new systems, new processes and a new way of operating. We’re doing everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible and really appreciate your understanding while we find our feet.

Unfortunately, we also have an important update regarding Group Exercise Classes.

Due to some unexpected equipment removal during the transition, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to cancel all group exercise classes until Saturday 11th July. We know this is disappointing, and we’d like to sincerely apologise to everyone affected.

The good news is that when classes return, they’ll be restarting with brand-new fitness equipment, giving everyone an even better experience.

🏋️ During the gym refurbishment and class cancellations, members can continue to use any other Active Lambeth gym and fitness facilities as part of their membership.

Active Lambeth Membership Advisors will be on site from opening until close to help with:
• Membership queries
• Logging into your Active Lambeth account
• General questions about the transition

🏊 The pool remains open as usual and all swimming sessions will continue to operate in line with our normal timetable.

🏋️ Group Exercise Classes
Classes are continuing on a slightly reduced timetable while refurbishment works take place. The latest timetable is available to view at reception and on the Active Lambeth app.

🚧 Gym Refurbishment
The gym, dryside changing facilities and sauna are now temporarily closed while refurbishment works are carried out. We appreciate your patience while these exciting improvements are underway.

📢 Important Update – Gym Refurbishment 🏋️

As part of the exciting improvements taking place under Active Lambeth, the gym at Brockwell Lido will close from Wednesday 1st July for a full refurbishment.

We’re looking forward to unveiling a refreshed and upgraded fitness space, and we’ll keep you updated on progress throughout the project.

🏃 Group Exercise Classes

Our group exercise programme will continue to run during the refurbishment, however there will be a reduced timetable due to studio availability and changes to access routes while work is taking place.

📱Members

Existing members can now log in to their accounts using the Active Lambeth app.

During the gym closure, members will also be able to use other Active Lambeth fitness facilities across the borough, ensuring you can continue your workouts while improvements are underway at Brockwell Lido.
