Talking from experience 🤍
Even today I met a bride who sent me inspiration pictures—she wanted a natural look and no heavy makeup. After meeting her, we both agreed: that look made her feel more confident and more like herself.
We started there. When we finished, she loved it—only a few gentle touch-ups, like a little extra blush or a bit more gloss (things we can always add later).
Then her best friend started suggesting changes: lashes, darker liner… I offered to show her, but I could already see it in the bride’s face—she felt convinced of her original choice.
We tried the look her friend wanted, but she didn’t like how she felt in it. She said she didn’t feel like herself. So we changed it back to her natural original look.
And again—her friend asked why she didn’t have lashes. I told her we could do it, but at the end of the day, it’s what the bride wants and what she feels comfortable in.
The bride agreed with her own instincts, and I realized she needed to hear it—not to listen to people around her, but to trust herself.
That’s a mistake so many brides make. I always say: let’s start slow. When it’s done, we can always add a little more. But don’t overwhelm yourself with opinions—your wedding look should be the one that makes you feel absolutely sure.
That’s why I prefer to create an intimate space just for you—so you get a few calm moments before the chaos.
Love,
Ieva
