Episode 4 – Get A LITTLE Better Every Day 💚⛳️

This probably isn’t the most exciting golf video you’ll watch… and that’s exactly the point.

Real improvement doesn’t come from hitting one shot with one club, then changing drills every five minutes. It comes from doing the same thing over and over again until it becomes second nature.

Today, I wasn’t chasing perfect shots. I was working on one simple movement at slow speed, repeating it hundreds of times to improve my clubface control.

🎯 Slow.
🎯 Deliberate.
🎯 Repetitive.

It might look boring, but boring practice creates boring golf.

And boring golf is exactly what we want…

✅ Fairways.
✅ Greens.
✅ Fewer penalty shots.
✅ Lower scores.

Most golfers are practising too fast… 👀

If you really want to improve, sometimes you have to slow everything down.

EPISODE 3 | Get A LITTLE Better Every Day 💪⛳️

I’ve been playing a lot of golf recently, but not spending much time working on my swing. I started to notice my clubface control wasn’t quite as consistent as I’d like and I was getting a little under plane.

So today, I hit the reset button.

I filmed my natural swing and sent it to my coach, Meg, for feedback. While I wait for her analysis, I focused on just ONE thing…

✅ Clubface control.

No chasing distance.
No worrying about swing speed.
Just slow, deliberate swings with complete focus on returning the clubface square at impact.

The feedback? Spin Axis.

Every shot told me whether the clubface was becoming more neutral, allowing me to make tiny adjustments and repeat the movement until it became more consistent.

The truth is, the boring stuff is usually the stuff that lowers your scores.

Slow down.
Focus on one priority.
Use feedback.
Repeat.

Episode 2 – Get A LITTLE Better Every Day 💪⛳️

In Episode 1, my Arccos data highlighted one of the biggest areas holding my scores back: lag putting.

So rather than guessing what to practice, I headed straight to the putting green and worked on exactly what the data told me.

Today’s session focused on two things:

🎯 Block Practice – Rolling putts from 30–60 feet to improve the consistency of my stroke length and tempo, learning how each length of stroke produces a predictable distance.

🐸 The Leapfrog Game – A fantastic distance control challenge where every putt has to finish slightly further than the previous one, all within a designated area. The goal is to keep the sequence going for as long as possible before leaving one short or running out of space.

The biggest lesson? Practice with a purpose.

Data tells you what to improve. Focused practice helps you improve it.

I’m documenting the journey to see how much I can improve by simply getting A LITTLE Better Every Day. Follow along and hopefully pick up a few ideas to help your own game too.

Day 1: Getting A LITTLE Better Every Day.

If you don’t know what to practice, how do you expect to improve?

Today I’m using my Arccos data from my last five rounds to compare my performance against my goal. The numbers don’t lie they tell me exactly where I’m losing shots.

For me, the two biggest priorities are:
⛳️ Lag putting from 25–50 feet.
⛳️ Mid-irons from 150–165 yards.

That’s where my practice starts.

Too many golfers spend hours working on the parts of their game they’re already good at. If you want to improve faster, especially if you don’t have much time to practice, you need to identify the areas costing you the most shots and make those your priority.

Over the coming weeks, I’m going to share exactly what I’m working on, how I’m practising, and whether it’s actually improving my scores.

When should you start shifting pressure towards the target? 🤔

Most golfers think the answer is the top of the backswing…

❌ Too late.

The best ball strikers in the world actually begin shifting pressure before they finish the backswing—around the point where the lead arm becomes parallel to the ground.

As your upper body continues to coil, start using your trail foot to gently push yourself towards the target. This early pressure shift helps you:

✅ Stay more centred in your pivot
✅ Create a bigger X-factor between your upper and lower body
✅ Sequence the downswing more efficiently
✅ Strike the ball with more consistency and compression

Timing is everything. If you wait until the top of the backswing to move, you’re already playing catch-up.
