Bharat CC produced a superb all-round performance to defeat Malayalee CC by 95 runs at Langdon Hills Recreation Ground, Basildon, on 15 August 2026.

After winning the toss, Bharat CC elected to bat and were tested early, finding themselves in serious trouble at 9 runs for 3 wickets. What followed was an excellent display of resilience, composure and team batting.

A crucial partnership between Bhargav and Gufran steadied the innings before Shahul took the attack to the opposition with an impressive 43 off just 30 balls. He was then supported by Venkat B, who contributed a valuable 27 off 35 balls, followed by Gnan, who added 21 off 21. Bhargav also played an important role with a composed 19 off 22 balls.

Late in the innings, Nagendra provided a valuable cameo, ensuring Bharat CC pushed the total to a competitive 182 all out in 30.1 overs.

With 183 required for victory, Bharat CC came out with an aggressive and attacking mindset. The bowling unit applied pressure from the very first over, refusing to allow Malayalee CC to settle. Nagendra led the attack brilliantly, claiming 4 wickets for just 18 runs in 4.1 overs, while Shahul added an excellent 3 wickets for 25 runs from his 5 overs.

The bowling effort was backed up by outstanding fielding. Bharat CC maintained intensity throughout the innings, with excellent catches from Venkat B and Arjun Sash, while Shahul produced a brilliant run-out to keep the momentum firmly in Bharat CC’s favour.

Malayalee CC were eventually bowled out for just 87 in 18.1 overs, giving Bharat CC a commanding 95-run victory.
