I am a Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher and have been practising Iyengar yoga for thirty years, qualifying as an Iyengar yoga teacher in 2009. Iyengar yoga is a form of Hatha yoga named after BKS Iyengar. Classes are varied and focus on alignment of the body to achieve flexibility, strength and a quieter mind. Props, such as blocks, bricks and belts are used to help students work correctly and achieve their full potential.

I'm looking forward to seeing regulars again, plus newcomers are warmly welcome, both beginners and those new to Iyengar yoga.

It was a joy teaching another full day workshop at The Bhavan to a lovely group of students, together with my friend and colleague, Elaine Morrison.

We marked 60 years since the publication of BKS Iyengar's life work, "Light on Yoga" and focused on extension, twisting asanas, inversions, mindful of introducing asanas and pranayama that help cool the system.
