No final de semana, compartilhamos o tatame com a comunidade de Aikido Brasileira, e graças a iniciativa do SESC de promover acesso e espaço para todos, pudemos ensinar os primeiros passos dentro da arte para pessoas que nunca treinaram antes.
Foi um dia muito especial onde também compartilhamos o silêncio, realizando a prática de Zazen no período da manhã e da tarde.

Yesterday we spent the day at delivering an Aikido immersion. We were joined by many with plenty of experience as well as a strong contingent of absolute beginners trying Aikido for the first time. Everyone trained together in the spirit of trying new things. We would like to thank for the opportunity and for his part in helping to make it happen. A special thank you also to those who travelled from far to join us.

Thanks to those who supported and well done in particular to James and Iulia, who are still at very beginning of their Iaido journey. It was their first performance of kata before an audience and they faced it with courage and composure.

It has officially been a year since we started Gyodokan Juniors, and over the last couple of weeks kids in both classes did their first tests. It has been a pleasure to see the children's growth on the tatami in not only their Aikido, but in their social and emotional development too. Congratulations to all! 🦊🦊
