FOOTBALL HISTORIANS

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Gary James, Max Portman and all the attendees of this years event at Barnes FC clubhouse on Friday evening.

The historians group was set up 9 years ago and each year the group attend a conference across the UK. This year, they chose Fulham Football Club for their two day event so it felt very fitting and privileged to be asked to host their evening meal and entertainment during the event.

The group started in Manchester and have held conferences throughout the UK, with their 10 yr anniversary next year, I am sure they have something very special planned.

Once again this year Barnes FC will be ever present at the annual Barnes Fair.

“From the Pitch to the People, Barnes Forever”

Barnes Fair, one of southwest London’s biggest and best community fundraising events, returns on Saturday 11 July, 9:30am - 5:30pm. With over 300 stalls, live entertainment, delicious food and drink, and fun for the whole family, it’s a highlight of the summer calendar - and as always, entry is free.

It was brilliant to welcome so many talented young players to the club and see the energy, attitude and effort on display throughout the session. The future is bright, and we are excited about the pathway we are continuing to build at Barnes FC.

A huge thank you to Dusan, our Adult Team Reserves Manager, and James, our U16 Team Manager, for leading an excellent session and helping create a positive environment for all attendees.

Players also had the opportunity to see our clubhouse and entertainment area, giving them a feel for the culture and community we are building both on and off the pitch.

At Barnes FC, we are committed to creating a long-term development pathway — from U16 football through to our Adult Development Team and beyond.

We are delighted to welcome everyone who attended and look forward to seeing many of you again soon.

NEW FIRST TEAM MANAGER

Barnes FC are very excited to welcome Daniel Merrix as First Team Manager.

Daniel and his coaching staff come to Barnes FC with great experience and ambition.

Daniel is a UEFA B qualified coach with additional roles at the Chelsea FC College Program, a Development Coach with QPR and further experience with Rayners Lane FC in Step 4 and previously a title winning Manager in Step 8 Middlesex league.

Alongside Daniel, he brings with him some great experience and support with the following coaching positions:

Assistant Manager: Francis De Almeida
First Team Coach: Alfie Swain
Head of Recruitment: Gianluca Potere
