A few deep inhales. A few slow exhales. That’s all it takes to begin shifting your body from stress mode to calm mode.
Research shows that slow, deep breathing can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, increase vagal activity, slow the heart rate, and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
Sometimes the fastest reset is already within you.

A love letter to my yoga community.

Lately, I’ve been navigating a few challenges in life, and it’s made me quite emotional and reflective.
After today’s class, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
Although I shared a few words at the end of the session, it didn’t feel like enough. I want every single person who has ever attended one of my classes to hear this thank you.
In fact, I want the whole world to hear it.
Thank you for showing up week after week. Thank you for trusting me with your practice, for recommending my classes to others, and for supporting me through the ups and downs of life. Thank you for accepting me exactly as I am.
I learn so much from all of you. Many of the lessons you’ve taught me have nothing to do with yoga and everything to do with being human.
What we’ve built together feels like so much more than a few weekly classes. It’s a community. A place where people support one another, grow together, share kindness, and make genuine connections.
To every person who has ever stepped into one of my classes, thank you. You’ve been part of this journey, and whether you realise it or not, you’ve become a very special part of my life.

My post today is not about movement, breathing, classes or retreats-it’s about something I care deeply about: mental health.

Working in a college, I see every day how the pressure for grades can quietly damage young people. I see brilliant, capable students so stressed about results that they stop learning, stop exploring, stop believing in themselves. The weight of expectation doesn’t just affect performance - it affects their confidence, their identity, their wellbeing. And it can be truly detrimental.

So yes, today we celebrate achievements. But we must also remember that grades should never be the main focus. They are one tiny part of a much bigger picture. Know your child. Support your child. Stand with them, not with the pressure that surrounds them.

Right now, my son has been offered a place at his first‑choice university - and he has chosen not to go. And I fully support him. Because what matters most to me is that my children are mentally and emotionally content. That they feel steady, safe, and grounded in themselves. That they build a life from wellbeing, not from fear.

A healthy mind and a regulated nervous system are the real foundations of a meaningful life. Not grades. Not rankings. Not result day.

Today, I honour every young person - not for their marks, but for their courage, their resilience, and their mental health.

Why do I teach Gentle Flow Yoga?
Because yoga doesn’t have to be rigid, intimidating, or all about achieving the perfect pose.
My Gentle Flow Yoga class offers a creative, accessible, and deeply nourishing practice that supports both body and mind. Every class is different, allowing space for exploration, curiosity, strength, softness, and self-discovery.
Rooted in Hatha Yoga and influenced by somatic movement, Gentle Flow helps you connect with your body, improve mobility, build confidence, and calm the mind. It’s a wonderful practice for beginners, people returning to movement, those who don’t think they’re flexible enough, and anyone looking for a kinder way to move.
For people like you and me.
Whether you want to feel stronger, move more freely, reduce stress, or simply enjoy an hour of mindful movement, there is a place for you in my classes.
Come and experience My Gentle Flow Yoga class for yourself.

While we’re still enjoying the warmth and fullness of summer, nature is already preparing for change. Before long, the long days, busy diaries, social gatherings and constant movement of the season can leave us feeling more drained than we realise.
That’s why it’s worth planning your wellbeing before you need it.
Into Autumn’s Embrace is a day retreat created to help you transition from the vibrant energy of summer into the slower, more nourishing rhythm of autumn.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Whalebones Wellbeing Centre, just minutes from High Barnet, we’ll spend the day moving between peaceful outdoor spaces and a beautiful studio sanctuary. Through a carefully curated blend of experiences, you’ll be guided towards greater ease, balance and connection with yourself and the season ahead.
This is a day rich in experiences, yet spacious enough to truly enjoy them. There will be no rushing from one activity to the next. Time to breathe, time to absorb, time to surrender, and time to simply be.
If summer asks us to expand, autumn invites us inward.
Join us as we leave behind the season’s momentum and step Into Autumn’s Embrace.

People often ask me why I create Day Retreats.
The answer is simple.
Because I see what happens when people give themselves permission to pause.
I see shoulders soften. I hear deeper conversations. I watch people reconnect with themselves and with each other.
Every retreat leaves an impact, not only on those who attend but on me too. Each one teaches me something new about presence, connection, courage, and growth.
Creating these spaces is one of the greatest privileges of my work, and I’m deeply grateful for everyone who chooses to be part of the journey.

Summer is vibrant, joyful, and full of life... but by the end of it, we often find ourselves feeling tired, depleted, and longing for a moment to simply pause.

With this in mind, I have carefully curated a special day for us to slow down, exhale, and gently soften “ Into Autumn’s Embrace”

And I’ve found the perfect setting for this day.
Just minutes from High Barnet High Street, yet tucked away among the ancient trees of Whalebones Park, this beautiful retreat centre feels like a hidden sanctuary.

If this sounds like exactly what you need comment or DM me yo join the priority list

Yoga reminds us that joy isn’t something we chase - it’s something we uncover when we breathe, move, and open ourselves fully to the present. Whether on the mat or in life, this posture speaks of trust, expansion, and gratitude for the body’s wisdom.
Let this image inspire you to rise, reach, and smile through your practice-because yoga is not about perfection. It’s about freedom. Expansion. A little rebellion against gravity.
A reminder that your practice can be light, expressive, even a bit cheeky.

Today, let yourself rise.
Let yourself feel the lift.
Let yourself enjoy the simple miracle of movement.

And if you’re ready to experience that, you can find me every week:

• Tuesday 6:30pm – St Mark’s Hall, EN5
• Thursday 7:00pm – Subud Centre, Lower Hall, EN4
• Saturday 11:15am – Subud Centre, Upper Hall, EN4

This is where we breathe, move, slow down, reconnect - and learn to carry the benefits far beyond the room.

Yoga isn’t just another fitness class. It’s a practice that reaches far beyond the hall - helping you feel steadier mentally and emotionally, and giving you tools that shift the way you live, perceive, and respond to whatever life brings.

This is where we breathe, move, slow down, reconnect - and carry the benefits far beyond the room.
