OD Cuaco Cricket Club won both of their matches and will progress into the finals at some point this year.

OD Cuaco Cricket Club

Well done to the MIGHTY DRAKES of OD Cuaco Cricket Club under 11s Softball Cricket Team.

The U11 OD CUACO’s gave a great account of themselves at the tournament on Sunday in Bexley.

The first two games were held at Lords, followed by two more at the Gabba. Different grounds, different challenges.

Whilst our U11’s are a more inexperienced team (with a large underage contingent) they battled hard and gave all teams a run for their money - despite falling short in all four games.

All of our Ducks played with smiles, and showed great respect to players and umpires.

Batter of the Day - Neil W (off side, on side. Every side).

Bowler of the Day - Eddie (Nibbled the seam with good line and length).

Fielder of the Day - Ruben (Always alert and quick to the ball. Accurate throws).

Overall Contribution - Ella (Stalwart with bat and ball. Think Dominic Cork).

On May 4th, during the bank holiday Monday, I had the distinct honor of serving as Team Manager for the OD CUACO U9s Softball Cricket Team. The team demonstrated remarkable cohesion, performing as if they had a long-standing history together, despite having only recently formed and not having trained together prior to the event. Their performance was truly commendable, and I am exceptionally proud of each team member.

The match results were as follows:
Game 1: OD vs. Catford & Cyphers 3 (Victory: 28/2 - 10/3)
Game 2: OD vs. SMCC (Loss: 22/1 - 29/3)
Game 3: OD vs. Beckenham 1 (Victory: 40/4 - 39/4)
Cup Quarter Final: OD vs. Catford Girls (Victory: 57/1 - 30/3)
Cup Semi Final: OD vs. Bromley Town (Loss: 35/3 - 67/2)

The team exhibited outstanding bowling, batting, fielding, and a strong commitment to learning and teamwork, all while maintaining exceptional sportsmanship.

I am immensely proud of their performance and the exemplary manner in which they represented our club.

Our Girls U9s team absolutely crushed it at the Bromley tournament today! They played 3, won 3, and made it to the main final (even with two players who'd never played before!). They narrowly lost the final to Holmesdale, but we saw so many cartwheels! 🏆👏🏏😂
