2023–2024

Our Academy continued to flourish with two unforgettable productions — UK All Day and Breezy — celebrating the talent, growth, and individuality of our dancers on stage. 🌟

Our Pro Company made a long-awaited return to Move It in 2023 for the first time since 2010. It was a full-circle moment, and we’ve proudly performed there every year since. We also returned to the stage at Dancers Delight, reconnecting with one of the UK’s most respected hip hop platforms. 🔥

Creatively, we continued to push our artistic practice with the dance films All We Do and About Her, alongside a live performance at Impact Dance’s Live Vibe. Both films have since gone on to be selected for international film festivals, taking Elementz’s work to audiences around the world. 🎥🌍

Our corporate work continued to grow internationally, with performances for BMW in Munich, In The Style in London, and KGA Fragrances in Manchester, further expanding the reach of the Elementz brand. 💼✈️

We also launched our Easter Foundation Styles Intensive — creating another opportunity for dancers beyond the company to train with us, build connections, and experience the Elementz way of working. It has quickly become an important part of our annual calendar. 🤝

Meanwhile, Elementz Youth continued to raise the bar, competing at SOAR and the UK Championships, while performing at the Hackney Empire, Fiyahouse Hip Hop Weekend, and Dancers Delight Under 18s. The next generation continued to prove the future of Elementz is in safe hands. 💜

Every performance, every project, and every dancer continues to shape who we are.

We are looking for inter/adv dancers aged 12-21 years to join our youth dance company ‘Elementz Youth’.
Training takes place every Sunday 1-3pm at our Essex Academy in Loughton.

🎉 20 Years of Elementz 🎉

2021–2022

A period of rebuilding, growth, and looking forward. ✨

In the midst of Covid, Artistic Director Lindon Barr was awarded a Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) grant from Arts Council England, allowing him to further develop his theatre practice through research and development at Sadler’s Wells and DanceEast. A significant milestone for both Lindon and the future artistic direction of Elementz. 🎭

This era also saw a full company rebrand, refreshing our identity as we emerged from the challenges of the pandemic and stepped into a new chapter.

As the world began to open up again, so did opportunities to travel. We created a brand-new corporate show and relaunched our performance offering, taking work across the globe. Projects included performances in Bahrain with The Greatest Cirque, work in Athens, and contracts with Norwegian Cruise Line, Alton Towers, and The O2. 🌍🔥

Back home, we celebrated another major milestone with our first-ever Academy Show, 15 Years Strong, marking fifteen incredible years of Elementz and bringing together our growing community of dancers and families. ❤️

We also relaunched Elementz Youth in Loughton. Their debut performance as a company saw them crowned UDO Essex Street Dance Champions, an incredible start for the next generation of Elementz dancers. 🏆

Our Training Company found its new home at The Manor LDN, further cementing Elementz’s position within the UK dance scene and strengthening the pathway from Youth Company to Professional Company.

This chapter was also marked by sadness as we said goodbye to Miles Harcombe, a valued member of our Training Company. His loss was felt deeply across the Elementz family, and he remains remembered by all who trained and danced alongside him. 🕊️

A chapter of resilience, renewal, and remembering what matters most.
