The keys are ours.

We signed the lease on Thursday, and Friday was my birthday, so as birthday presents go this one is going to take some beating. It has been a long road to get to this point and at times a painful one, but we are here, and our community officially has a home.

Signing has set everything in motion. The new kit is ordered and the real work on the space starts now. Bec and I spent the whole weekend in the studio clearing out the old and getting it ready for what comes next, and the best bit was how many of you spotted us and stopped in for a chat about what is happening. Those conversations are exactly why we are doing this.

We have already got through a lot, but there is still plenty to do. We are pretty much living here at the moment, so if you are passing and see the lights on, call in and say hello. We cannot offer you a brew just yet, but we will be able to soon.

This is only the start. I cannot wait to get the classes up and running.

TOMORROW: Don't forget there's a FREE Summer Picnic Event in Stamford Square on Saturday 25th July (11am to 6pm).

There will be live DJ sets from Manchester favourites Nite School, family-friendly outdoor games and refreshing drinks from the square's brand-new kiosk.

Foodies will be spoilt for choice too, with freshly made pizza and gelato from Nell's Pizza, delicious dim sum from Yum Cha, picnic favourites from Co-op On The Go, and irresistible sweet treats from The Little Dessert Shop. There's also a free crafts workshop from Sostrene Grene.

Because wellbeing isn’t just about training hard, it’s the community we’re building around it. The faces we’re getting to know. The people who’ll be cheering each other on come launch.

Behind the scenes it’s all moving. Legals are close to done, the lease should be signed next week, and once that’s through the strength and weights kit gets ordered straight away. The TechnoGym equipment is already sat ready to ship.

September is looking like our month. Rest, reset, recharge… that’s exactly what we want AltyTude to give you time and time again. Can’t wait to share this journey with you. 🌅
