I need your help!! I’ve been posting for over 6 years now and it’s becoming really difficult to come up with new ideas on content. I’d love your input to help me produce videos YOU want to see.

We came up with this drill over 10 years ago now. Everyone was engaged and the players improved!
What more do you want from a drill for young players?

❌ Stop training your back hand receiving wrong!!
Stay mobile and use the energy in the ball to your advantage!
It’s actually easier to coach receiving the ball on the move than it is stationary!

✅ Hitting the ball ✅

🔥A strong balance is essential for hitting the ball effectively.
🔥Balance comes from having a strong and stable base.
🔥Lifting the back leg shifts energy away from the hit and toward maintaining balance.
🔥 This reduces the power and control of the shot.
🔥 Lifting the back leg also increases body rotation, which can compromise accuracy.

Practice hitting the ball well, not hard!

Use balls instead of cones and the whole drill changes! Any mistakes and the balls move away and you fail.
Set this up, give it a go and let me know how you get on.

Too many people stand too close to the ball!
This leads to;
1. Missing the ball!
2. Lifting the body up and losing power, lifting the ball!
3. Hitting the ground behind the ball!

A good measure it to have the hands just in front of the left knee!
This helps with distance from the ball and gets the body lower.
Swing around the body and hold your balance!
