Misfit Women’s Health Evening — one of the proudest nights we’ve hosted.

A packed room. Three genuine experts. Three important conversations most gyms will never host.

Sam George — “Strength Training for Women: What the Industry Gets Wrong”

Founder of Misfit and UK Personal Trainer of the Year 2019. Sam cut through the myths, the fads, and the online noise around training for women. We covered training through your cycle, training through perimenopause and menopause, and how to train with chronic health conditions. Evidence-based. Specific. Built for real bodies.

Lindsey Roberts — “Rage, Rest, Repeat: What to Do When You’re Angry, Exhausted, and Still Expected to Function”

Founder of The Angry Uterus Club. Living with endometriosis and adenomyosis, Lindsey shared what it’s actually like to navigate chronic illness alongside work, life, and everyone still expecting you to show up. This wasn’t about pretending. It was about real tools — managing energy, setting realistic expectations, advocating for yourself without burning out.

Dr Liz Halsted — “The Sleep Fix”
Behavioural Psychologist and Associate Professor at UCL.

Liz covered sleep and hormones — why sleep changes across life stages, and practical, evidence-based ways to actually improve it.

This is what we mean when we say Misfit isn’t just a gym. It’s a place to train, yes — but also a place to learn, ask honest questions, and get real information from people who genuinely know what they’re talking about.

Thank you to Sam, Lindsey, and Liz for showing up with such honesty and expertise. And thank you to every Misfit who came out to listen, ask, and share.

What’s coming next:

🏋️‍♀️ August — Strength Training & Menopause Workshop
🌙 September — Practical Sleep Workshop with Dr Liz Halstead

Details on both coming soon.

We get a lot of enquiries asking how to know when you have found a good gym when there are so many options to choose from!

So this is our quick guide for a couple of things to look out for when considering joining a new gym.

A great gym is a place that resonates with you: a place you feel comfortable, listened to, and excited to go back to. These are the things that will keep you coming back when you are tired, have had a long week, or it’s cold and dark outside.

A gym you want to go to is better than any gym you don’t.

See you on the gym floor!

Head Coach Becca is back for another rundown of the next block of Misfit Strength programming. So what’s in store?

We have some twists on a classic with some new deadlift variants, a progression on our toe to bar drills we’ve been working on and we’re switching from low rep heavier work into some more general preparation work that has higher reps to lock in all the technique we’ve built over the first half of the year. 💪🏻🤸🏼

There may even be some new skills for everyone to learn for summer! 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

See you on the gym floor!

Most adults who join a gym are gone within a month or two.

It’s not a willpower problem. It’s a fit problem.

We made two things for adults who never quite fit at a gym:

→ A 60-second Personality Test. Find out which of four profiles you are — and what actually works for people like you.

→ The free Anti-Gym Starter Guide. Twelve pages on how to get fit without becoming a fitness fanatic. Written by our founder.

Take the test, get both.

Take us back to Saturday!

The Misfit Games is not just about fitness, it is about showcasing the creativity and ingenuity of each of our Misfits! We love to celebrate each individual and all their abilities whether that be how strong they are, how fast they are or how crafty and creative they can be.

Being a Misfit is more than working out, it’s the energy you bring to every challenge.

We’ve got more events coming up in July, keep your eyes peeled for more ways to be a Misfit!

See you on the gym floor.

“I never want to leave.”

Nicole, on Google. ❤️

Reviews like this aren’t about us — they’re about the people who walk through our door every day and choose to make this place what it is. The team. The Misfits. The energy in the room.

Thank you, Nicole.

Misfit Adventure Club. Scotland.

Steall Waterfall on Saturday. Ben Nevis on Sunday.

Rain. Sun. Snow. All of it, in one weekend. A real Highland experience.

This is why we train. For moments where your fitness opens a door — a mountain, a waterfall, a memory you’ll keep.

Thank you to a lovely bunch of Misfits. 🩷

Onto the next one in September. 🏔️

“I joined right after I moved — it was the best decision, not just for my physical fitness, but for meeting people too.”

Kristy’s been a Misfit for over 3 years now. And what she said about us after Summer Games last year? This bit:

“There’s a lot of pressure, especially on women, about how we’re meant to look. But Misfit is such an inclusive environment — it focuses on building strength and what it means to be in your body. I love that. And I love the people here.”

“The games were really fun. This is my second year doing it. I haven’t won either year. And that is great.”
That’s the whole point. 🩷
