I’ve never known a fear like this before, but I’ve never felt a love like it either 🤍

Taking a moment today to appreciate our beautiful Alora 🤍

The unsung hero.

The bringer of so much love and joy 🌈

Tula’s best friend, number one play mate, biggest champion, hospital room arts & craft partner, cheeky monkey accomplice, and amazing sister extraordinaire.

Always using her dandelions wishes for Tula to feel better.

Always adding “God bless Tula, please let her get better soon” to her bedtime prayers.

Always running into Tula’s hospital room in the morning with a big smile, “hello Tuuulaaa” and giant sister huggle.

Alora knows how to mute Tula’s hospital machines when they are buzzing.

She knows how to hit the nurse call button.

She knows the ins and outs of the hospital corridors on her faster than lightening purple scooter.

Alora makes the most of the moments she can’t be with Tula and is off on adventures with NooNoo, Barbar, Aunties and Darcie.

She gets excited for Tula when she receives gifts and cards in the post (most of the tome!)

We love you so much, Ra. You have the biggest heart in the whole wide world. What a special girl you are - and we are so grateful for you 😘

Today we paused for something really beautiful.

Today I became British 🥳🇬🇧

During the ceremony, the registrar spoke about community, about belonging to something bigger than yourself, contributing to it, caring for it, and truly becoming a part of it.

And standing there, hearing those words after the months we’ve had, it hit me just how much this island and its people have come to mean to me.

The Isle of Wight has held us through some incredibly difficult days. The kindness here is genuine and constant. People check in. People care. People quietly show up when you need them most. There’s something really special about this community, and I feel so so lucky to be part of it.

So today wasn’t really about finally having the same passport as my husband and children. It was about belonging. About gratitude. About putting down roots somewhere that already feels completely like home.

And now, just like my children, I’m officially a dual citizen too 🙌

Tomorrow we head back to hospital for one final bone marrow test. Hoping and praying with everything we have that the results will be the same as last week and Tula will indeed go to transplant. Please keep thinking of her and sending prayers and love her way 🤍

Jo x

PS … We celebrated with lunch at after. We all love it there and the kale salad was amazing - if you love on the island go try it 🤌

PPS… Thank you to my in-laws for coming to be part of today. Love you 😘

We are back to Southampton Hospital earlier than we expected.

The bone marrow sample taken from Tula last week wasn’t enough to give her team of doctors the answers they needed, so yesterday she had to go under general anaesthetic again to repeat the procedure.

So we continue to wait, and hope, and pray. We continue to lean into love and joy, and are doing our best to stay present.

On Monday, the five of us went to Quarr Abbey, one of our special places on the Isle of Wight. It’s a pretty farm with a beautiful church that always brings us peace.

We lit candles together and prayed for Tula’s healing, and used holy water brought back from Lourdes in the south of France, a place many people visit seeking healing and hope.

Holding onto faith, love, healing and hope.

One day at a time 🤍

We’re so grateful for all the love, support, and prayers. Truly. It’s held us up more than I can explain. We’ve felt the very best of people during a really hard time.

Since we got to the hospital with Tula, my focus has been simple: making sure she feels loved, safe, and a little bit of joy each day.

Right now, this time is about me being here with Tula, Alora and Leo, and taking care of my family the best I can. This time with Tula feels really sacred to me. It’s all that matters, and I want to be fully here for it.

I’ve noticed Instagram pulls me out of that, and I don’t want to miss these moments by being in my head instead of with them.

So I’m going to step away from IG for a while.

Thank you for being here and for holding us in your hearts. Please keep praying for Tula 🌈🤍🙏

With love,
Jo
