I never posted this.
I’d reached a point where I realised I couldn’t keep living as though every day depended on whether I found a job.
For months, I’d been searching.
Applying.
Interviewing.
Waiting.
Repeating.
It had taken more out of me than I realised.
So one morning, I decided to try something different.
I started saying this affirmation:
“Everything that’s happening is guiding me closer to what’s meant for me, and I’m open to evidence that I’m supported and guided.”
I probably only said it for about a week before I was offered a job.
Was it because of the affirmation?
Honestly… I don’t know.
But I don’t think that’s really the point.
The affirmation didn’t magically change my circumstances overnight.
It changed where I was placing my attention.
Instead of spending every waking moment looking for evidence that nothing was happening, I slowly started looking for evidence that life was still moving.
That I could still go for a walk.
Meet a friend.
Watch a sunrise.
Write.
Laugh.
Live.
Even while I was waiting.
I’d stopped trying to push every door open.
Not because I’d given up.
Because I finally understood there was still a life to be lived while I waited for the right one to open.
Months later, that simple phrase found its way into Fire Moon Rising.
It became part of the Woman’s story.
Funny how life does that.
Sometimes we don’t write the story.
We live it first.

If you’ve listened to Fire Moon Rising, you’ll have met Aries Moon.
She’s one of the voices around the council table.
But before she became a character, she was something I kept noticing in my own life.
Whenever things felt uncertain, I’d move.
Feeling good? I’d move.
Feeling heartbroken? I’d move.
Walk.
Run.
Skate.
Swim.
Dance.
Looking back, I don’t think it was about escaping.
I think it was how I found my way through.
I didn’t realise it then, but Aries Moon was already there.
Helping me work through what was needed.
One step at a time 🔥🌝

I’ve realised I have a habit.
Whenever I cross a meaningful threshold in my life, I like to mark it somehow.
Sometimes I buy something small.
Sometimes I make something.
Years ago, I remember feeling disappointed that there wasn’t someone special beside me to celebrate those moments with. The big ones. The little ones. The milestones in between.
So I stopped waiting.
I realised I could become the person who marked those moments.
The person who said,
“You made it.”
“Treat yourself”
This bracelet is one of those moments.
Not because it’s expensive or particularly significant on its own, but because every time I look at it, I’ll remember this chapter.
A new job.
A visa finally approved.
A home slowly becoming mine again.
The second bedroom finding its purpose.
Life becoming more settled…
It’s taken a while…
The Cancer New Moon draws our attention towards home, belonging and what helps us feel safe.
Over the past couple of weeks, that hasn’t looked like setting intentions so much as making space.
Clearing cupboards.
Sorting rooms.
Putting things back where they belong.
Maybe that’s a ritual too.
I filmed this after a job interview in March last year.
At the time, it was just part of a quiet ritual I’d built for myself.
Every Monday I’d pull a card for the week, make a coffee, sit at my desk and try to find a little steadiness before whatever came next.
Most of these videos never made it onto Instagram.
I think, back then, they felt too personal.
Too unfinished.
I hadn’t yet lived the part of the story that would tell me why they’d mattered.
The card I pulled that morning spoke about certain moments in our lives already existing on our timeline.
The people we’d meet. The places we’d work. That whatever is meant for us won’t pass us by.
I had no way of knowing how many more months of uncertainty were ahead.
Or that ‘Fire Moon Rising’ didn’t even exist yet.
Looking back now, I realise it wasn’t really about whether the card was “right.”
It was about the ritual.
Showing up.
Making a coffee.
Taking a breath.
Finding five minutes of calm before opening my laptop again.
Those small acts didn’t change my circumstances overnight.
But they quietly changed how I moved through them.
Maybe that’s what held me together.
And I hope this message helps you too with whatever inbetween moment you’re in right now x

Only a Capricorn would start a new job on a Capricorn Full Moon 🌝
You really couldn’t write it.
Last Thursday morning I pulled the Four of Wands.
A few hours later my visa was approved 🤩
By Monday, under the Full Moon, I was walking into a new chapter.
One that I have been waiting to start for far too long!
Although, in true fashion, I arrived at the office to discover everyone was working from home. 😂
The rest of the week became a collection of little moments: ferry commutes, coffee cups, lift rides, looking out over Sydney, celebrating with friends, finally making it to Totti’s, and quietly realising that life had started moving again.
During the Full Moon I also did a tarot spread, and one message stayed with me all week:
What if you’re still preparing for impact... even though the danger has already passed?
For a long time, staying on high alert made sense. There was uncertainty around work, my visa, finances, and even my sense of identity.
But the cards suggested something different.
Not that everything is suddenly perfect.
Just that perhaps …I’m no longer in the chapter that required me to survive.
To brace.
Another card asked me to stop defining myself by what I still need to achieve, and instead by everything I’ve already become.
That landed.
I get it… I’m listening…
Because I think so many of us carry old versions of ourselves far longer than we need to.
Sometimes the hardest part isn’t getting through the difficult chapter.
It’s believing you’re allowed to live differently once it’s over.
Here’s to new beginnings... and to finally putting the shield down

I think one of the hardest parts of modern dating isn’t the ghosting.
It’s how easily someone else’s silence can become a question about who we are.
For a long time, I’d find myself trying to work it out.
Did I say something wrong?
Should I have waited longer?
Should I have asked differently?
So exhausting…
This time felt different.
Yes, I paid for the app.
Yes, we matched.
Yes, the conversation flowed.
And yes... he disappeared.
But instead of wondering why he stopped replying, I found myself asking something else...
Who am I when I’m simply myself?
Maybe that’s the more interesting question.
This is a small moment from the final episode of Fire Moon Rising.

Season Finale 🎙️
Sometimes we think we’ve buried parts of ourselves forever.
But seeds and endings can look remarkably similar.
🌱 Episode 10 of Fire Moon Rising is out now.
This season has been about rebuilding a life that doesn’t revolve around survival.
About work.
Worth.
Love.
Identity.
And learning that healing isn’t always loud enough to notice while it’s happens.
This final story is about looking back at the ground you’ve been standing on all along...
..and realising something has been growing.

‘No… you stopped digging it up’
S3 Ep 9 is out now 🎧
“And the things that grew are not what she expected.”
That line stayed with me.
I think we spend a lot of time trying to make things happen.
Trying to make friendships work.
Trying to make relationships work.
Trying to make opportunities happen.
Trying to force certainty where there isn’t any.
And yet, when I look back at the most meaningful relationships in my life, none of them were forced.
They required effort.
Care.
Time.
Showing up.
But never force.
The same seems to be true for so many things.
The woman finds a garden she planted years ago and discovers it’s thriving.
Not because she kept digging it up to check on it.
Because she finally stopped.
