Rangers Open Runs return this August and September, with competitive 5v5 basketball and a chance to meet the team ahead of the 2026-27 Winter League season.

For some, it may be the first step towards wearing the Green this winter. 🏆

Week 5️⃣

A new name enters the book of Rangers.

Cameron Miller joined the Fellowship this summer and has looked a little more at home with every appearance. Against London Jaguars, the pieces began to fall into place.

Cam delivered the best performance of his short Rangers career with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, alongside 4 assists, 2 steals and a block. He attacked the basket with vigour, converted 5 of 6 from the line and provided us with a primary shot creator when the path ahead turned treacherous.

The Jaguars controlled the contest from the second quarter, but Cam refused to fade into the shadows. During our impressive run at the start of the third, he played with greater freedom and moved with a purpose to lead the group instead of deferring to the more experienced Rangers.

There is still more of his story to be written, but this felt like the first real glimpse of the true Ranger he can become.

For the first time, the Dúnedain honour belongs to Cameron Miller. 🎒

We have walked through shadow before. We will find our way into the light again. 🌅

Week 4️⃣

It had been a while since Marcel Mendes last claimed this honour. His previous award came after that breathtaking performance against London Beamers in the Winter League semifinals. Against LABAS, Marcy once again demonstrated what happens when he takes the burden upon himself.

Playing through an injury, he finished the contest with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a block, while posting a game-high 33 PIR. He knocked down 3 threes, drew 10 fouls and remained as our most reliable contributor on both ends of the floor.

For much of the battle, Marcel gave us a presence LABAS had to account for on every single possession. He stood his ground against their size early, then continued to produce when they went small and pushed the tempo late in the third.

The result moved beyond our reach, but Marcy never laid down his sword. Even below full strength, he fought on the glass, stretched the floor and carried the fight until the end.

Some Rangers are at their best when the road grows heavier. Keep shining, Marcy. 🌠

A new chapter approaches, and the Fellowship is looking to bolster the ranks with the right people.

Selected players will be invited to join one of our regular Thursday training sessions, with the normal session fee applying from the first visit. We will not be hosting a separate tryout event.

Rangers is an amateur pay-to-play team, built on commitment, camaraderie and a dedication to produce quality basketball together.

Week 3️⃣

Some roads narrow just when the gate comes into sight.

Against London Mystics, the Rangers had their chances. The game stayed within reach deep into the fourth, yet the Mystics found the stronger hand, with their two All-Star guards steering the contest into places the Rangers could not counter.

Still, while the game slipped towards the edge, Mohamed Emiel Loh kept dragging it back.

In his first appearance of the summer, Mo gave the Fellowship exactly what he always does: work on the glass, strength around the basket and no fear when the ball found him late. In 22 minutes, he finished with 13 points on 6 of 8 shooting, 8 rebounds and a team-high 17 PIR / efficiency.

With two minutes left, it was Mo who pulled the Rangers within one, stepping into the kind of moment that asks whether a Ranger will hide or answer. He did the latter. The Mystics, however, replied with a 6-0 run, and the road closed before the final horn.

And, in news fit for the Red Book, no technical foul was added beside his name. A day of peace in the lands of Mo.

The Rangers now have a mountain to climb. Two group games remain, and two victories are needed to keep the playoff path alive.

Even in defeat, effort leaves its mark. This week, the Dúnedain honour belongs to Mohamed Emiel Loh. 🌥️

Week 2️⃣

On an early morning game when the Rangers struggled to find their rhythm, Callum Smith offered something the Fellowship desperately sought: steadiness.

Cal made his first appearance of the summer after missing his very first game since joining the Rangers in Week 1️⃣ and it was spectacularly clear how much he missed being on the court with his teammates.

He finished the contest with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals, with his staple physical defence and activity on the glass even when the pieces around him were not yet falling into place.

The Rangers recovered from a difficult opening to carry a one-point lead into halftime, however to their dismay, EC London returned with greater urgency and made the decisive runs after the break. As rust showed and new combinations searched for chemistry, Cal remained composed through troubled waters.

This was not his loudest performance in Rangers colours, nor will it be his best. It was merely a reminder of the dependable two-way presence he brings and the level still waiting to be reached when the Fellowship inevitably begins to move as one.

The road is only two games old. For Cal, this was the first step back onto it. Expect to hear his name a lot more this season like you’d expect Frodo to deliver the Ring to its final resting place.

Week 1️⃣

The crown was won in winter. Nevertheless summer began with a reminder that old victories carry little weight into a new campaign.

East London Falcons had the upper hand for much of the contest, their guards creating turnovers and breaking into open court as the Rangers struggled to find their rhythm. The Fellowship trailed for most of the game before a timely 10-0 run in the fourth quarter finally changed its course.

In a game that called for composure more than spectacle, George Bidzhamov answered.

Starting at small forward, George played with aggression and grit, repeatedly drawing contact attacking the basket while also taking his turn guiding the offence. In 17 minutes, he finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and a block, without surrendering a single turnover.

Not every deed worthy of recognition is a loud one. Some are found in the smaller details: winning an extra possession, making the right pass or keeping a steady hand with the ball. George has grown increasingly comfortable in his role within the Fellowship, and performances like this show the value he brings to the table.

The Rangers leave the first battle of summer with victory. And for the first time, the Dúnedain honour belongs to George Bidzhamov. ⚔️
