Yomif Kejelcha breaks the world Half Marathon record in Buenos Aires clocking 56:51 to shave 29 seconds off the previous record held by Jacob Kiplimo.

After 343 days away from 1500m racing, Jakob Ingebrigtsen returns to one of his trademark events tonight at the Silesia Diamond League.

And there’ll be no easing himself back in.

A stacked field awaits, including Olympic 1500m champion Cole Hocker, as Jakob steps back onto the start line over 1500m for the first time in almost a year.

Audrey Werro takes the win on home soil setting a new meeting record in the process (1:55.33).

Werro sat a few strides off the electric pace over the first 400m and before controlling the race over the last 300m. Broeders Bol closed the race out well to finish just behind Werro, setting a new national record in the process.

Wanyonyi takes the win in Lausanne over 800m

Wanyonyi timed it to perfection moving ahead of Arop down the homestretch and holding off the fast finishing Sedjati and Miller.

Britain’s Arlo Ludewick has signed with Nike on a deal running through to LA28.

It caps a breakthrough season for the 1500m star, who burst onto the scene with a string of impressive performances on the British Milers Club circuit before going on to win the British 1500m title.

That victory earned Ludewick selection for the European Championships in Birmingham, where he finished fifth in the final.

He has also produced some seriously impressive times this year, clocking personal bests of 3:32.92 for 1500m and 3:48.17 for the mile.

A Nike deal feels like the perfect way to round off a huge season for one of Britain’s most exciting emerging middle distance talents.

‘MISSING’ BAPTISTE JAILED IN MOROCCO

Former Commonwealth champion and British athletics coach Leon Baptiste, who had been reported missing after going off the grid earlier this year, has been revealed to be serving a prison sentence in Morocco.

The 41-year-old was arrested in Marrakech in May and convicted of sexually assaulting a minor. He was initially sentenced to 10 months in prison, later reduced to eight months on appeal.

Baptiste won 200m and 4x100m gold for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games before moving into coaching, working with a number of leading British athletes. He was also named England Athletics Coach of the Year in 2023.
