What an amazing week of tennis we had during the first week of August. Organised by the fantastic LTA Referee and Coach, Michael. Thank you for such a wonderfully ran tournament!

Secondly, a big thank you to Doris for running the Wigmore Open Cafe 🍽️. Keeping everyone fed with delicious panini, stir-fry , pasta bakes, and more! Along with all the many helpers who volunteered in the kitchen throughout the week such as Bola, Anne, Mark, Sheila to name a few. Sorry if we’ve missed anyone out!

We had a fantastic turnout of Wigmore players entering many of the events throughout the week. Thank you to all the participants who took part and congratulations to all the champions. We hope to see you again for the Wigmore Open 2027!

Great performance from the Men’s 3s today against South Croydon.
Coming away with a 3-1 victory, the team kept their perfect undefeated record intact this season. A well-earned result and great tennis all round. Congratulations, boys! Cheers! 🍻 🥳

Sam, Matty, John, and Gareth put in a brilliant performance to secure a clean 4-0 victory against Limpsfield. Excellent focus and great tennis all round from the whole squad. Well played, gents! 💪💪

Great effort from the Over 50s team earlier today.
Nell, Anne, Sue, and Joanna played some fantastic tennis in a very competitive fixture against Southfields, coming away with a strong 2-2 draw. A brilliant team performance all round. Well played, everyone. 💙🤍

A brilliant start to the summer for the Mixed 3rd team today.
Seb, Claire, and Marie put in a fantastic performance to secure a decisive 3-0 win against local rivals Grafton, with one rubber still left to finish. It was great to see so much home support down at the club cheering the team on to a well-earned victory. Well played, everyone. 💙🤍💪🏻🎾🥳

Solid performance from the Ladies 3s earlier today.
The team of Gracie & Ruth and Lara & Anne D came away with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against The Gardens LTC. Excellent determination from the whole squad to secure the point at home. Well played, team. 💙🤍
