When youāre not a natural runner and you donāt even like running to the car if itās raining (yes really)ā¦
ā¦my strategy is that if youāre going to run, then youāve got to just smile through it.
Apart from on the tiniest of inclines.
Then itās just frowns all the way!
Iāve never actually enjoyed running until finding this whole āconversational paceā pace, and since I can talk the hind legs off a donkey, itās much more reliable than a Garmin to know how fast (or not!) to run š
Today I used She Hydrates, my performance electrolytes - I knew I was going to sweat so I pre-loaded before the run meet up, and then replaced the remainder on the way home.
Taking your electrolytes prior to a long, hot or sweaty session is one strategy that does have evidence behind it and it can be an effective to drive osmotic thirst.
BUT
Do I recommend taking electrolytes daily regardless?
No.
The evidence doesnāt support it.
Do I recommend taking electrolytes every training session?
No, not necessarily.
Do I recommend using an appropriately dosed product before, during and/or after training when conditions are such that electrolyte losses are occurring - YES!
I designed She Hydrates with meaningful quantities of ingredients that matter - when you NEED them.
Not just as a blanket marketing strategyā¦
Asking the right questions is so important to get the best out of your training aids, but also without wasting money!

āIām just a girl.ā
Except thereās no just about it.
Strong. Capable. Ambitious. Competitive. Feminine.
Never needed to be one of the boys to hold my own.
Being a woman was never the limitation.
Tag a strong woman to show her your support šŖš»š¤

You canāt win if you take yourself out of the game.
Stay in it. Keep showing up. See what happens.
The Gap between āI want thatā and āI built thatāā¦
It is there for a reason.
Itās not luck. Itās not genetics. Itās not a magic training regime.
You can close The Gap.
Question is, how much do you want to?
Sheās not better than you, she just didnāt quit.

Be Her products doing exactly what they were designed to do:
Built for the training, not just the shelf.
80kg RDLs with ease because She Grips is (literally) on hand when I need it.
Then into a sweaty conditioning block.
She Hydrates beforehand, because this is exactly when electrolytes make sense, when sweat losses are going to be meaningful and the added taurine and glycine support a strong performance - and recovery.
No complicated routines. No supplements for the sake of supplements.
Just the right support, at the right time, for women who train.
Grip. Lift. Sweat. Hydrate.
BE HER.
Itās definitely not all sunshine and rainbows.
So when it is, make sure you do your best to take a minute and soak it up āļø š
Sometimes itās better not to overthink it.
Easier in the sun wandering aimlessly through pretty cobbled streets, granted.
But sometimes, itās good to think less and just ābeā.
Then ironically, it got me thinkingā¦is this mindfulness
or is this the opposite of mindfulnessā¦š¤·š¼āāļøš

Really pleased it came up in my feed as the affect of weight training on my hands was something I was nit happy about. After a couple of uses appears to be working well. Like the look and presentation of the product too. Really pleased with it
