Camford Girls U14s 1 - 4 Garden Village Girls U14s

Following last season’s successful title defence, Camford Sports U14s stepped up to 11-a-side football with their opening league fixture at Penygaer. Having been promoted two divisions from Division 3 to Division 1, Camford faced a strong Garden Village side who had claimed the Division 2 title last season.

The first half was evenly contested, but it was Garden Village who broke the deadlock after 10 minutes. Camford responded well and were soon level when last season’s top scorer, Clara Thomas, raced clear from the halfway line before calmly slotting the ball into the net. Village, however, showed the quality that made them unbeaten in Division 2 last season and regained the lead shortly before half-time.

Camford continued to play some excellent passing football and competed well throughout the second half, but they were unable to turn possession into further goals. Garden Village added two more to secure a 4-1 win. Special mention goes to debutants Bonnie, Mia and Skyla, who have quickly settled into the squad and made a positive contribution.

Camford Girls U13s 6 - 1 Clydach Blacks Girls U13s

It was our Under 13s girls’ first league game of the campaign and what a statement they made!

From the first whistle, Camford were dominant in every area of the pitch! Our early pressure paid off with our first goal coming in on the 4th minute. Camford continued on the front foot and found themselves 3-0 up at half time.

Second half was the same story with the first goal of the half scored inside the 7th minute. The goals kept flowing for the girls, but credit to Clydachs GK, she pulled off some amazing saves including a quadruple save in the same faze of play 👏👏

The girls played exceptionally well and their development yet again showing on the pitch with some great football played. A performance that coaches, parents, club and the players themselves can be proud of ⚽️💙🩶

Great to see the U13s girls back in action today! As always with a game against CKSV, very competitive and never know which way the result will go! Huge thank you for CKSV for the game.

Great oppurtunity for the girls to dust off the matchday cobwebs and to be honest there weren’t any! With a few missing, the girls knew they’d have to dig in deep and they did just that! Energy and effort levels were superb all game and played some really good football too!

The girls adapted well to some things the coaches tried today, really good team performance and so many strong individual performances too!

Absolutely fantastic day of football at the Gower Galaxy festival today for both U9s and U12s!

U9s were yet again amazing winning 3 out of the 4 games played accompanied by some excellent football, effort and enthusiasm!

U12s showing everyone just how far they’ve come since the start of the season! Won 2, Drew 2 and lost only 1 games and were 2 goals away from qualifying for the semi-finals!

Nice touch to finish off with medals presented to the girls by a Welsh women’s international player too, fair play to Gower 👏

Plenty of goals, smiles and memories made - season 2025/26 signed off - it’s been a blast!⚽️

What another great season these girls have had! These girls really are a great little team and the fact that not only have they won the League, but have won it back-to-back is great testament to these girls attitude and determination. These girls have everything they need to keep being successful and with guidance from their great coaches - this is the only outcome I see for them.

What’s more is these girls have the opportunity to make history within the club if they stay together and keep doing what they’re doing by becoming the first youth/women’s team the club has had. I would absolutely love to see this and am backing the girls to make this happen!

With the season of 2025/26 over, it’s time to show appreciation and celebrate it and recognise the achievements these young girls have accomplished.

⚽️UNDER 12s⚽️

With the girls only having one season behind them before hitting competitive football, this season was always going to be tough and that’s exactly how it started. However even during these tough times, the girls reached the quarter finals of the WWWGL U12s Plate and finished off the season in very good form and put in a number of strong performances, once again showing that the best lessons are learned in the toughest of times.

This group has also welcomed new players and it must be said each player has been made to feel very welcome by the girls and they have been great additions to what is a strengthening team!

These girls still playing non-competitive football, have still enjoyed great success on and off the pitch with individual and team development and welcoming new team members - these girls wave goodbye to 5 aside with a great season and long-term friendships made and have been a credit to themselves, their parents, the coaches and the club!

They are a great group of girls who work tirelessly in training and are always smiling and enjoying the game they love. They’ve got some testing times ahead with the new format of playing, but I’m more than confident the girls will adapts and develope over the coming season and certainly can’t wait to see how that unfolds for them.
