Miss Fits Netball Club

We had a lush evening at the The Halfway Llanelli for our 4th Netball Club presentation.

Congratulations to those who won awards:-

1. Best player A team - Donna. Donna received the A team inspirational award last year after returning after giving birth to her second son Thomas. She has smashed it out of the park as WD. We are all so proud of you Don!

2. Best player B team - Zoe
Not a newcomer to these awards! But a very versatile player who can play anywhere and has literally played everywhere since joining us. She’s a grafter and we are so glad to have her in our club!

3. A team inspirational player award - Lau G.
She came back training 5 weeks PP. She has absolutely smashed summer league and as a result was wholeheartedly deserving of being awarded best player. It’s lush having you back!

4. B team inspirational player award - Sinead. She is the biggest ‘hype girl’. Always lifting the team when they are down. She hits the deck and bounces back, one time even receiving next pass.

5. Volunteer award - Julie. We’ve missed her so much since her knee injury. She had her op 6 months ago, and thankfully she hasn’t been a stranger! Helping us out scoring over the summer the months. Which had been a huge support!

6. Most promising player-Ves. A player that sees the ball and nothing else and goes for it! She is committed and has such a flair for the game.

7,8,9 Club woman of the year - Zoe, Amy, Alannah.
This year we couldn’t just pick 1! Since joining us, these 3 have gone above and beyond and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. From scoring before they were eligible to play to helping out all day and afternoon in our charity mixed tournament in memory of our Annabel 🫶.

Tough one for B’s against top of division 2 - Chaos. Last game of the summer league for them. One more match for the A’s next week against Carmarthen Sapphires.

Close game for the A’s today. Neck and neck until half-time when Morganite pulled away.

We had a lovely morning in Canolfan Pentre Awel for the King’s baton relay ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

Two great matches today. B team were leading Treforus B for the first half but ended up losing by 3 (23-26).

Strong performance from the A’s against a very young SYC. They were hot on our heels the second half but we got the win (40-26)

Today we travelled to the pod with limited availability.

Thanks to Anna and Zoe who played up from the B’s you smashed it. Great close game against Carmarthen Sapphires, with them taking the win in the last quarter.

Well done to the B’s who kept going against a very strong Treforus A team. Lovely to see how far our new players have come on a short time 👏.

Well done to the B’s who played Harbour Diamonds last Wednesday and came away with a win.
