Club statement

Unfortunately due to a new booking system brought in by the community club (after a workable one was up and running) and working well and also a comet system not allowing refs to take on games - Opening game is now cancelled for tomorrow.

This week however we question our community club where we asked for a friendly Wednesday but were rejected as two vacant changing rooms were not allow to be used so senior team could play and on the same day we found one of our players was approached to train and sign for the senior side.

If we had access to 3 parks at Eliburn like we have for the last 16 years at Eliburn park we would have been able to kick off at 10.30am.

After 25 years being part of the community club we haven’t felt this distance from the club, a club we were there when we first got the keys in 2010 at Eliburn.

We also call the league into question why they accepted the comet system when most refs aren’t on it so a number of games have been cancelled.

After over 25 years service as manager, Stevie Lynch aka Gaffer, Jobber, Stevie Mourinho has decided to step down.

The gaffer started the club as a youth team within Livingston Hearts Community Football Club(now known as Livingston Community Football Club) building the team all the way up the youth ranks before taken the team up to the West Lothian Sunday Amatuer league in 2012 and later into LEAFA.

It’s hard enough running a club for 5mins but to build squad after squad year after year for 25 years is a truly unbelievable achievement and a testament to the man himself.

On behalf of everyone at the club past and present we wish the gaffer all the very best in his retirement and thank him for 25 unforgettable years.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their kind words & best wishes.
So finally took the decision to retire from Amateur
Football,
I've met some incredible players & people who I've had the privilege to work along side over the last 25years.
The memories of the laughs, tears, bust-ups & nights out will live with me forever.
Ryan made me up a montage of the years gone by which was incredible, from past & present players/coaches & friends it was very humbling & yes it brought a tear.
I'll not disappear from the football & you'll see me pop up from time to time at the most random games, but the immediate plan is to have some long lie-ins on a Sunday as it's been a while.
I will enjoy some quality time with the grandkids, family & especially my long suffering wife Tricia, who sacrificed alot to let me enjoy my hobby for so long.
Finally from me , I'd like to wish all the lads at Livi cfc all my very best wishes. 💛🖤
