Today’s game saw us take on a Grangemouth side we played against last year
The surprise rain saw pitch 1 flood so with a quick run over with the lawn mower and the lines getting put fresh on pitch 2 the lads up for the game
The changing room message from the gaffer simple be better than last week as we were s**t
A good start from the lads breaking and building up good football having a few chances but nothing coming of it until 21 minutes where Mac finds himself high up the wing and able to drill a ball across the box for big arsed toe sock kiean to open his body and slot home 1-0
The lead would be doubled 8 minutes later in the 28th minute Daz brings the ball down turns plays a cute ball through for the big arse again to use his strength to battle through then slot home 2-0
Half time 2-0 Whitburn message simple don’t let it fu***ng slip put them to bed and don’t loose it
This message was working the lads still playing good football and the break came 25 mins into the second half where for the 3rd game this season we were awarded a penalty wee angry joko fighting off hatrick contender kiean to take the penalty and it pays off 3-0 and our first converted penalty of the season the brother in laws could learn a thing or two
But 5 mins later on the 75 minute mark a fast break saw Grangemouth pull 1 back 3-1
Then come the 84th minute and a poor goal kick bouncing off the head of Wullie finds jokos feet to net his second of the day 4-1 game put to bed
Overall a brilliant footballing performance from the lads today and the perfect time leading into our Scottish cup tie next week

On Sunday saw the lads make the short trip to polbeth to take on Armadale union in game 3 of the league
Whitburn off to a flyer found themselves 2 wins from 2 and hoping to go 3 from 3 after Sundays result
The game started with Whitburn in most of control and this being rewarded around the 13 minute mark when wee sam drills the ball across the 6 yard line for joko to slot home from close range 1-0
The half started to fizzle out but in the 43 minute a great ball over the top by Mac hits wullie square in the c**k and balls and manages to fight the pain to poke the ball into the back of the net his celebration squat down and rub his nuts

Simple as this this got a penalty Andy the kitten went the right way but the ball squeezes under him 2-1
We then get a penalty ourselves and wee Sam wanting to be like his brother in law gogsy decide to pass it back to the keeper must be a family thing
Then in the 90th minute there pressure paid off scoring late in the game 2-2
Not the best day at the office but the lads learn from this and look to get the finger out and go again still unbeaten but Sundays result feels like a defeat

Whitburn 2 vs 1 glasgow east

Game day 2 of the season and the lads first home game of the season against new to league side Glasgow east
The atmosphere and attitude was good from the off the lads buzzing to start the home season well and the gaffers goals were simple don’t fall behind and put it in simple

A slow burn to the game saw not much happen for first 10-15 mins then after 23 minutes veteran utility man and new dad wullie found himself sending the defender to the shops to draw the ball back across the 6 for the biggest arse in the team kiean to smash it home 1-0

The half dying down didn’t see much a cracking save from Andy from a free kick and a few other collections was about as good as it got then Callum taking the ball a wonder out from centre back played it over the top for another old boy joko to slot home easy no he hits the keeper the ball bounces back to big arsed kiean who smashes home again to make it 2-0 right on the stroke of half time

Second half started and was pretty boring after about 70 mins they had a chance and it came good a loss of concentration from us saw them pull it back 2-1
Then about 5 mins later the ref who was s**te for both teams gives a penalty with a chance to equalise the opponents hit the post with big Andy the cat guessing the right way probs would of saved it anyway

This then lead to the last 10 mins of play seeing the boys fight it out and finishing the game 2-1 winners 6 points from a possible 6 fu***ng class

Another note this game saw the team pick up its first bookings of the season with kiean wullie Adam and the tom Dailey of the team Welsh Tom with a beautiful swan like dive all picking up bookings but of course only one man could get the first and that was card king of last season Michael Morrison starting the season as he means to go on
