Am we do poster for the following please
🥊 FIGHTER PERFORMANCE FRIDAY
HARDER ISN’T ALWAYS BETTER
I see this quite a lot in combat sports.
A fighter finishes a session absolutely exhausted and thinks:
“That was a great session.”
Maybe it was.
But being destroyed at the end of training doesn’t automatically mean you trained well.
I’ve had plenty of sessions over the years where the best work wasn’t the session that left everyone lying on the floor.
Sometimes it’s the session where you:
🥊 Got your technique right.
👣 Moved better.
🧠Made better decisions.
⚡ Worked at the right intensity.
🎯 Focused on something you needed to improve.
And walked out feeling like you could have done more.
That’s not a wasted session.
That’s intelligent training.
As fighters, we sometimes get addicted to feeling tired because it gives us a simple way of judging whether we’ve worked hard.
But fighting isn’t about who can suffer the most in training.
It’s about who can perform when it matters.
So before you judge your next session by how exhausted you are, ask yourself:
“Did that training actually make me better?”
That’s a much harder question.
But it’s the one that matters.
🎯 COACH’S POINT
Don’t chase fatigue.
Chase improvement.
Train hard when you need to.
Train smart when you need to.
And understand the difference.
💬 Be honest — what makes you feel you’ve had a good session?
🥵 Being exhausted
🎯 Learning something
đź’Ş Getting stronger
🥊 Performing better
👇 I’d love to hear your answer.

🥊 TECHNICAL TUESDAY
Coach’s Breakdown
STOP REACHING FOR THE PUNCH
One of the most common technical mistakes I see is fighters trying to reach their opponent rather than moving into range.
They stretch.
They lean.
Their feet stay behind.
And suddenly their balance is gone.
The problem?
You’re trying to make your upper body do the job of your feet.
Instead:
👣 Move into range.
🥊 Punch from your position.
🎯 Stay balanced.
⚡ Exit or continue the attack.
A good punch isn’t just about arm speed.
It starts with distance, position and balance.
🎯 Coach’s Point
Don’t ask:
“Can I reach them?”
Ask:
“Can I get into the correct position to hit them?”
If you have to reach…
you’re probably too far away.
Move your feet.
Control the distance.
Then let the punches go.
đź’¬ QUESTION
What do you see most when fighters are out of range?
👣 Reaching
↔️ Overextending
🥊 Falling in
🧠Rushing

STOP WAITING TO FEEL MOTIVATED.
FIGHTER MINDSET MONDAY
STOP WAITING TO FEEL MOTIVATED.
Motivation is unreliable.
Some days you’ll feel ready to train.
Some days you won’t.
Some days everything feels sharp.
Other days you feel tired, distracted and off your game.
That’s normal.
The question is:
What do you do anyway?
A fighter can’t build their development around how they feel that morning.
They build it around who they are trying to become.
🥊 You train because you’re a fighter.
💪 You prepare because you’re serious about your performance.
🧠You keep learning because you know there’s always another level.
And sometimes the most important session isn’t the one where you feel incredible.
It’s the one where you didn’t feel like doing it — but turned up and did the work.
🎯 COACH’S POINT
Don’t ask:
“Do I feel motivated today?”
Ask:
“What would the fighter I want to become do today?”
Then do that.
Motivation might get you started.
Identity keeps you moving.
đź’¬ MONDAY QUESTION
What gets you through the days when motivation isn’t there?
🥊 Discipline
🎯 Goals
👊 Competition
🧠Routine
