A game of two halves tonight.......Again!

After a strong first half, the lads took a well-deserved lead and looked in control. Unfortunately, a common theme from recent games returned in the second half, as we struggled to get a foothold in the game.

East Calder capitalised on a couple of mistakes and turned the game around, with it looking like the game was dead and buried.

To the lads' credit, they showed great character and produced a late surge to make it a nervy finish, but unfortunately it wasn't enough.

Credit to East Calder for seeing the game out.

Plenty to learn from, but we dust ourselves off and go again. 💪

They say it’s a game of two halves, and today couldn’t have been more fitting!

The lads started off strong, commanding the ball and playing some fantastic football. Two brilliantly worked goals saw us take a deserved lead into half-time. 👏

We created plenty of chances in the second half too, with two efforts hitting the woodwork and a couple of great opportunities narrowly missed.

Currie pressed well and found pockets of space all over the park, and it wasn’t long before they managed to peg us back.

Plenty of positives to take from today, plenty to work on — but we dust ourselves off and go again!

🏁 Final Pre-Season Game

Our final game of pre-season took us away to Musselburgh Windsor Blues.

After a scrappy start, the lads struggled to keep possession and found it difficult to get the ball moving the way we wanted.

However, what they lacked in possession, they certainly made up for when it came to taking their chances, putting together some excellent attacking play and building a strong lead.

Credit to Musselburgh, who stuck to their game plan and continued to work hard, producing some really well-worked goals of their own.

Overall, another valuable run-out for the lads and plenty to take into the new season.

Next week, it all starts for real! 🔴⚽️

🌧 🌦 Another Tuesday night, another game in the rain for the lads as we welcomed Linlithgow.

A big, strong and physical side, it didn't take them long to capitalise on an early mistake and put us under pressure. Despite Murieston enjoying plenty of possession and creating a number of good chances, some outstanding defending and excellent goalkeeping from the visitors kept us frustrated before the break.

One thing we've seen throughout pre-season is that these lads stay calm, trust their football, and never stop believing.

That's exactly what they did in the second half. They continued to move the ball well, pressed with intensity, and kept asking questions of the Linlithgow defence. Their patience and determination were rewarded with a strong second-half performance that showed great character, resilience and togetherness.

A big thank you to Linlithgow for a competitive match, and we wish them all the very best for the season ahead.

Another week, another battle with the Scottish weather! 🌬️⚽

The wind was blowing, but that didn't stop the lads as they made the trip across the water to take on Dulloch in Dunfermline.

Our first game of the season on 3G suited the boys well, allowing the ball to move quicker and leading to some excellent team goals. High pressing from the front put the Dulloch defence under constant pressure and created plenty of opportunities.

Credit to Dulloch, who scored a worldie free kick and also took advantage of a couple of mistakes after applying pressure of their own.

Another great run out for the squad. A couple of days to recover, then it's straight back to work! 💪
