The biggest mistake I see?
Women thinking they need to be dieting all the time.
A calorie deficit is a tool, not a lifestyle.
If your goal is to build muscle, improve your body composition and get stronger, you be can’t do that if you’re living off lettuce and constantly trying to shrink yourself.
The clue is in the goal…
“Build” your body needs enough food to recover, perform and grow.
“Shrink” you reduce food!
That’s exactly why I haven’t dieted for over 14 months.
I spent months rebuilding after injuries, getting my training consistent again and focusing on strength instead of chasing the scales.
Now, a short fat-loss phase actually has a purpose.
Because it’s supporting the work I’ve already put in, not replacing it.
Stop asking yourself:
“How can I eat less?”
Start asking:
“What does my body need right now to move me closer to my goal?”
Sometimes the answer is a calorie deficit.
Sometimes it’s more food, better recovery and consistent training.
Knowing the difference is where long-term progress happens.
And it you want to get started, you know where I am, message me coaching or hit the link in my bio ❤️

Ladies... if you're over 40, you'll know we've spent years being told the answer to fat loss is to work harder, sweat more and burn as many calories as possible.
But it's time to shift the focus.
It doesn't work, well not in the way you want it to.
Build some muscle.
Eat enough protein.
Be consistent.
Don't get me wrong... move your body.
Go for the walks.
Do the cardio if you enjoy it.
But don't keep putting strength training on the back burner.
Build a body that works for you...
Not one that's constantly trying to earn its food.
❤️ Save this for the next time you think you need another fat-burning workout.
And it’s you’re ready to make a start, drop me a message or hit the link in my bio, I have spaces open for July.
We all do it.
We’re only human... of course we compare ourselves.
But measuring yourself against an outcome that was never yours to begin with will only wreck your head and leave you feeling:
Demotivated
Not good enough
Frustrated
Self-conscious
and
Stuck
Probably could add to this but you get me!
Instead...
Compare the habits.
How they plan.
How they train.
How they keep showing up when motivation disappears.
Those are the things you can learn from.
Your genetics are out of your control.
Your habits aren’t.
And over time, those habits will shape the healthiest, strongest version of you!
And that’s the only body worth chasing.
❤️ Save this for the next time comparison starts creeping in, and tell me in the comments...

18 months together…
When we first started working together, the goal was to overcome gym anxiety, build confidence, and improve body composition.
And Jess has absolutely smashed it.
She went from having no confidence to walking into the gym like a boss and training on her own.
Fast forward 18 months…
She’s now 34 weeks pregnant, still showing up, still moving, and still looking after herself and her growing baby. 🩵
This week was our last face-to-face session before baby arrives.
With her first little one arriving early, and pelvic girdle pain becoming more uncomfortable, now feels like the right time to pause our in-person training in case history repeats itself.
Throughout her pregnancy, we’ve adapted when needed and focused on what feels good rather than pushing through discomfort.
One of the things I love most about coaching isn’t just helping women build muscle or lose weight…
It’s coaching them through different chapters of life.
The best coaching relationships don’t end when one goal is achieved… they evolve as life does.
Through holidays, sickness, stressful times, grief… and everything in between.
For Jess, that’s looked like:
Building confidence in the gym…
Looking amazing…
Then pregnancy… (and still looking bloody amazing.)
And soon…
Operation Postpartum.
And knowing her… before long we’ll be talking wedding prep too.
So yes we still got plans!
Coaching isn’t just about one goal.
Life changes… and your coaching should change with it.
The sessions may pause for now, but the support doesn’t.
Good luck, Jess. You’ve been amazing. I can’t wait to meet your little one and continue the next chapter with you. 🫶

Well… June absolutely flew by! 😅🥵
I genuinely feel like my feet haven’t touched the ground.
There was plenty of coaching, lots of training, good food, dog walks, socials, Fathers Day, sunshine and record temps, got my first bumble bee sting 🐝 and we finished decorating the downstairs loo.
Nothing fancy… just a month full of real life.
I’m excited for July though.
It’s my birthday month, it’s looking busy already, and I’m looking forward to seeing what it brings.

Zoe and I first started working together back in November 2025.
After completing a photoshoot transformation in July and looking fabulous, Zoe made the decision to postpone her Pure Elite stage debut a year, so she could come away from dieting and enjoy some well-earned time with her family on holiday before committing to prep.
Our first goal together was to tidy things up ahead of a family holiday in December and enjoy Christmas before moving into an improvement phase and then starting prep.
From day one, the focus was to build more shape through her upper body while continuing to develop her glutes and lower body to create a more balanced physique for the stage.
Has it been a perfect prep? Absolutely not. Between work, travel, family commitments and an unexpected medical procedure, we've had to adapt more than once.
But that's part of coaching, working with the athlete in front of you and making the best decisions possible every step of the way.
Fast forward to today and we're just 26 days out.
I'm incredibly proud of the work Zoe has put in, she's kept moving forward, trusted the process and is giving everything she can to these final few weeks.
Now it's all about staying focused, making every day count and bringing her very best package for when she steps on stage for the first time in the Masters Bikini category with Pure Elite
Let's do this! 💫

How nice would it be to be on a night out, catch sight of your arm in a photo and think…
“Bloody hell… I actually have biceps!” 💪😂
Well, when Eve thought exactly that, she messaged me this…
“We’ll ignore the fact I was completely off the rails last night and focus on how good my arm is starting to look!! OMG I can actually see it’s changed!”
And honestly… this made me smile.
And not because of the bottle of prosecco!
But because she noticed something she’d worked hard for without me pointing it out.
Those are the moments I love most as a coach.
It isn’t always about the scales.
Sometimes it’s catching your reflection.
Sometimes it’s carrying the shopping more easily.
Sometimes it’s walking upstairs without getting out of breath.
And sometimes…
It’s spotting your biceps halfway through a night out. 😂💪
Those little wins are often the ones that mean the most.
If you want to start gaining some little wins of your own, you know where I am, just drop me a message if you’re interested in working with me ❤️
